Heaven came down and glory filled my soul!! What a wonderful day!

My Testimony – The Day I Found Life in the Desert

I was a man of wealth and honor, a court official under the queen of Ethiopia. Outwardly, I had everything—power, position, possessions. But deep inside, there was an emptiness that nothing could fill.

I had heard of the God of Israel and longed to worship Him. So I traveled all the way to Jerusalem. I thought perhaps in the holy city, in the great temple, I would find the satisfaction my soul longed for. But even after doing all the rituals, I returned home unsatisfied. Something was still missing.

As my chariot rolled through the desert road, I opened the scroll of the prophet Isaiah. My eyes fell on these words:"Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter; like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth. In his humiliation, justice was denied him. Who can describe his generation? For his life is taken away from the earth.”

I read, but I could not understand. Was the prophet speaking about himself? Or was it about another? My heart ached for answers. Yet there was no one beside me to explain. I felt like my chariot was moving forward, but my soul was stuck in the wilderness.

Then suddenly, a man came running alongside my chariot. His name was Philip. He asked me gently, “Do you understand what you are reading?” I could only reply honestly, “How can I, unless someone explains it to me?” I invited him to sit with me.

And there, on that lonely desert road, everything changed. Beginning with that passage, Philip told me the good news of Jesus Christ. He explained how Isaiah’s prophecy was fulfilled in Him—how He was the Lamb of God, who took away the sins of the world.

My heart burned within me. The words of Scripture came alive. The emptiness I carried for years began to lift. For the first time, I saw clearly: the One I longed for was Jesus.

As we continued, we came upon some water. With joy in my heart I cried, “Look, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?” Philip did not hesitate. We went down into the water, and there I was baptized.

When I came up, something unspeakable happened. Joy flooded my soul—joy I had never known before. The emptiness was gone. My heart overflowed with peace.

I looked around to thank Philip, but he was gone. The Spirit of the Lord had taken him away. Yet I was not alone. The Holy Spirit had come to dwell within me.

I remembered how, because I was a eunuch, I was never allowed to enter the temple of the Lord. I could only stand outside, far away. But now, through Jesus, I had been welcomed into the very Most Holy Place of God’s presence. Once I stood afar off, now I could call the Almighty God “Abba, Father.”

That day became the most unforgettable day of my life. I started my journey empty, but I went on my way rejoicing.

I thank the Holy Spirit for guiding me.

I thank Him for sending Philip to me.

I thank Him for opening the Scriptures.

I thank Him for giving me grace to obey.

I thank Him for filling me with His presence.

I thank Him for making me a worshiper in Spirit and in truth.

I will never forget that day in the desert road—

the day I found life in Christ....

๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต

O what a wonderful, wonderful day, day I will never forget;
After I'd wandered in darkness away, Jesus my Savior I met.
O what a tender, compassionate friend, He met the need of my heart;
Shadows dispelling, with joy I am telling, He made all the darkness depart.

Chorus
Heaven came down and glory filled my soul, (filled my soul)
When at the cross the Savior made me whole; (made me whole)
My sins were washed away and my night was turned to day,
Heaven came down and glory filled my soul! (filled my soul)

Born of the Spirit with life from above into God's family divine,
Justified fully thru Calvary's love, O what a standing is mine!
And the transaction so quickly was made, when as a sinner I came,
Took of the offer, of grace He did proffer, He saved me, O praise His dear name!

*"The Lord of hosts is with us,
The God of Jacob is our stronghold .
Psalms 46:7

There are times when you look around and your first response is despair.

May be you are at the very end of your strength and you feel it. You are in deep trouble and you sense defeat and darkness in on all sides.

There is a Name you can call upon in times of conflict and warfare.
"The Lord of Hosts"

In times of darkness, distress.. One woman called upon the Name..

In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. 1 Samuel 1:10
Hannah was "greatly depressed" Oppressed in spirit "
She turned to the Lord of Hosts.and the Lord blessed her with a son.. Samuel!

Yes the  Name of the Lord is a strong tower.
Just call unto His Name.. Jesus Christ, The Name above all Names ".

*
Here is another man who called upon the Name.
David.
Goliath.. Strong enemy  was before him.

David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the Name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 1 Samuel 17:45

David got victory in the Name of the Lord...

In any situation let us sing..

๐ŸŽต

I enter the Holy of Holies
I enter through the Blood of the Lamb
I enter to worship You only
I enter to honor I AM
Lord I worship You
I worship You
For Your Name is holy holy Lord
For Your Name is holy holy Lord
For Your Name is holy holy Lord. ...
Amen.

God is waiting.. Call  His Name now..

*One of the most thrilling stories of the moving of the Spirit on the mission field is that of the Lone Star Mission in Ongole, India.

After fifteen years of sacrificial work, only ten believers had been won. In view of a heavy deficit, the Baptist Missionary Union in 1853 was deciding to close down the station. Dr. Colver made an eloquent plea for the little church, won at such cost. Dr. Edwin Bright, the Secretary, followed with a speech which concluded, “Who is the man who would write the letter or carry the message to that little church of ten members, telling them that American Baptists had resolved to abandon them?” He strode up and down the platform saying, “And who shall write the letter?” That night, Dr. Samuel Smith, author of “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee,” could not sleep.

During the debate a map had been hung, the mission stations being marked with stars. Burma was thickly studded, but Nellore stood alone in India. Someone had referred to the lone star.

Taking pencil and paper, Dr. Smith wrote:

Shine on, Lone Star, thy radiance bright Shall spread o’er all the eastern sky; Morn breaks apace from gloom and night! Shine on and bless the pilgrim’s eye. Shine on, Lone Star, I would not dim The light that gleams with dubious ray. The lonely star of Bethlehem Led on a bright and glorious day. Shine on, Lone Star, in grief and tears, And sad reverses oft baptized; Shine on amid thy sister spheres: Lone stars in heaven are not despised.
Shine on, Lone Star; who lifts a hand To dash to earth so bright a gem, A new ‘lost pleiad’ from the band That sparkles in night’s diadem? Shine on, Lone Star, the days draw near When none shall shine more fair than thou; Thou, born and mused in doubt and fear, Wilt gather on Immanuel’s brow. Shine on, Lone Star, till earth redeemed, In dust shall bid its idols fall; And thousands where thy radiance beamed Shall crown the Saviour Lord of all.

At breakfast, Judge Harris, the chairman, asked Dr. Smith his opinion. He produced the poem. He read it at the meeting with much feeling. It shook the audience, and men wept. A vision of hope dawned. And the result? A great movement of the Spirit crowned their faith. In a single day 2,222 baptisms took place. Thirty years later the Ongole church had 15,000 members, the largest Baptist church in the world.

๐Ÿ“–Revive us again, O God! I know you will! Give us a fresh start! Then all your people will taste your joy and gladness.Psalms 85:6

*John E. Clough was born in 1836 in America. He was a simple man, not from wealth or influence, but with a burning love for Jesus. When God’s call came to serve in India, he obeyed. Like Abraham, he “went out, not knowing where he was going” (Hebrews 11:8).
His obedience reminds us: God does not call the equipped—He equips the called.

Sowing in Tears
In 1865, Clough arrived in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh. The land was dry, both physically and spiritually. For years, his preaching seemed fruitless. Few responded. He faced loneliness, discouragement, sickness, and cultural barriers. Yet, like the farmer in Psalm 126:5, he sowed with tears, trusting God for the harvest.
His perseverance challenges us: Will we remain faithful even when fruit is not visible?

Reaping with Joy

In 1878, revival came like rain on dry ground. Whole villages of Telugu people turned to Christ. The oppressed and outcast, especially Dalits, found dignity in the gospel. On July 3, 1878, Clough baptized 2,222 believers in one day—a scene echoing Pentecost (Acts 2:41).

Over 8,000 were baptized in two years. The fields were white for harvest, and the Lord of the harvest sent forth laborers.
This teaches us: God’s time is perfect. Faithfulness in sowing leads to abundance in reaping.

In John clough' tomb one Word is written.

Be still and know that I am God.. Psalms 46:10

Lord Jesus send a Revival...

Glory to God.. Amen
