Sometimes life teaches us powerful lessons through simple scenes we see on the road.

A few years ago, while riding my two-wheeler, I passed by a well-known furniture showroom. One day I saw something heartbreaking. The building was still standing, but everything inside had been burned. What once displayed beautiful furniture had become a heap of ashes. The place looked silent, empty, and hopeless. It felt like the end of the story.

But after a few days, I noticed a small board placed near the building:

“We are coming back.”

Those three words carried hope.

Soon workers arrived. Renovation started. Slowly the broken place began to change. Walls were repaired, the interior rebuilt, and new furniture was brought in. Months later, the same place became a brand-new showroom—more beautiful than before.

Every time I passed by, I felt God teaching something deep in my heart.

If human beings can rebuild a burned shop…

If people can turn ashes into something beautiful again…

How much more can God do with our lives?

Sometimes our lives also look like that burned showroom—dreams destroyed, hearts broken, hopes lost, and everything looking like ashes.

But the Bible reminds us not to stop at the ashes.

In Book of Psalms 42:11, the psalmist speaks to his own soul:

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? Hope in God.”

And in Book of Jeremiah 18, God shows the prophet a potter working with clay. When the vessel was spoiled, the potter did not throw the clay away. He reshaped it again into something new and beautiful.

That is our God.

He is the Master Potter.

He is the Restorer of broken lives.

He specializes in rebuilding what seems beyond repair.

So if today your life feels like a heap of ashes, remember this:

God can place a sign over your life that says,

“I am coming back.”

And in His hands, your story is not finished yet.
