*Lord, Rebuild My Broken Walls

“Do good to Zion in Your good pleasure; build the walls of Jerusalem.” — Psalm 51:18

Nehemiah heard that the walls of Jerusalem were broken down and its gates had been burned with fire. He could not simply ignore the brokenness. He went back to rebuild.

But Nehemiah teaches us something important: before he built the walls, he prayed.

He did not begin with bricks.

He began with God.

Then he gathered people around him. They worked together, shoulder to shoulder. Broken walls were rebuilt through fellowship, unity, and shared strength.

And Nehemiah did not depend only on human strength. He trusted the God who had called him to rebuild. The work was difficult, opposition came, and fear surrounded them—but they continued because God was with them.

Today, perhaps the walls of your life are broken.

Maybe your family is hurting.

Maybe your emotions are wounded.

Maybe your mind is tired and broken.

Maybe your relationship with God needs rebuilding.

Do not be ashamed of the broken walls.

Bring them to God.

Like Nehemiah, pray before you build.

Walk with people who will strengthen your faith.

And depend not merely on your own strength, but on the strength of God.

The God who helped Nehemiah rebuild Jerusalem can rebuild what is broken in your life.

So today, let this become the cry of your heart:

“Lord, rebuild my broken walls.

Rebuild my family.

Rebuild my heart.

Rebuild my mind.

Rebuild my life—not by my strength, but by Yours.”

What is broken in our hands can become beautiful in the hands of God.

*Bethlehem means “House of Bread.”

There was a famine in Bethlehem, and Naomi’s family travelled about 50 miles to Moab looking for a better place to survive.

What was meant to be a short journey became a ten-year story. And Naomi lost her husband and her two sons. She left Bethlehem with a family, but she returned with an empty heart.

Naomi came back broken. Ruth, a Moabite woman, came with her.But something beautiful happened. They came back.

And when they arrived in Bethlehem, it was the beginning of a new chapter.

The Bible says, “They arrived in Bethlehem at the beginning of the barley harvest.”

What a timing!

They thought they were returning to a place of sorrow, but God had already prepared a harvest.

Ruth went to glean in a field—and God led her to the field of Boaz.

There she found favor.

The broken story began to change.

Ruth was redeemed.

Boaz married Ruth .

A son named Obed was born.

Obed became the father of Jesse.

Jesse became the father of David.

And generations later, from that very line came Jesus Christ, the Redeemer.

What began with famine and funerals ended in redemption and a place in the genealogy of Jesus.

Maybe you are in a “Moab” today.

Moab may be a place of sin, trouble, addiction, failure, disappointment, or a season where you feel far away from God.

Perhaps you went there for only a short time—but you have been there much longer than you ever imagined.

Listen carefully:

Your Moab does not have to be your final destination.Naomi decided to come back.

And sometimes the greatest miracle begins with one simple decision:

“I will arise, and I will go back.”

You may not know what is waiting for you in Bethlehem. But God knows.

The doors may already be opening.

The harvest may already be there.

The right field may already be prepared.

So before you finish reading this, take the first step toward Bethlehem.

Come back.

Come home.

There is grace beyond your failure, mercy beyond your past, and hope beyond your sorrow.

Your Moab may have been a chapter—but it does not have to be the ending.

With God, weeping can turn into joy, emptiness into fullness, and a broken story into a beautiful testimony.

Take the first step to Bethlehem.

The House of Bread is waiting.

Rewriting Your Life Story

*The Samaritan woman came to the well to draw water. It was noon—the hottest part of the day.

Why noon?

Perhaps she wanted to avoid people. She carried a story of brokenness, shame, and rejection. She came to the well expecting only to carry water back home.

But that day, someone was waiting for her.

Jesus.

She came to draw water, but she met the One who could change her life.

She stood before the gaze of His holiness—the gaze before which no one can hide. Jesus knew her past. He knew her relationships. He knew everything about her.

Yet He did not come with a stone in His hand. Jesus wanted to rewrite her life story.

And something beautiful happened that day.

The woman who came to the well hiding from people went back to the city telling people about Jesus. The woman who was once ashamed became a witness. The woman who came carrying an empty water jar left carrying a message of hope.

Jesus began rewriting her story.

And He did not wait for another day.He started that very day.

Maybe you feel that your life story has already been written—broken chapters, painful memories, wrong choices, disappointments, failures, and shame.

Maybe you think, “This is how my story will end.”

But John 4 reminds us:

Jesus is still the Master of rewriting life stories.

He does not deny your past.

He redeems it.

He does not throw stones at your brokenness.

He brings living water to it.

He does not define you by your worst chapter.

He can write a new chapter for His glory.

The Samaritan woman came to the well with a broken story.

She left with a testimony.

Are you broken? Exhausted? Hopeless?

Bring your story to Jesus.

The One who rewrote her story can rewrite yours too.

Your past may be a  painful chapter, but it does not have to be the ending.

Let Jesus hold the pen.. .

*There are seasons in life when it feels like everything is more than you can handle.

More fears than you can face.

More questions than you can answer.

More changes than you can tolerate.

More health issues than you know how to treat.

More bills than you can pay.

More problems than you can solve.

More deadlines than you can meet.

More enemies than you can number.

And you begin to wonder, “Am I the only one standing here?”

Elijah knew that feeling.

On Mount Carmel, Elijah stood almost alone against the prophets of Baal and Asherah—850 against 1 .

The ratio was frightening.

But Elijah discovered something powerful:

When God is with one person, that one person is never alone.

Elijah stood on one side, and 850 stood on the other. But the real question was not, “How many are with Elijah?”

The question was, “Who is with Elijah?”

And God was with him.

God answered by fire.

God gave Elijah victory.

Then God sent the rain after a long drought.

And when the rain came, something even more amazing happened.

Elijah ran ahead of Ahab's horses all the way.

The man who looked outnumbered became the man who outran the horses.

Why?

Because the presence of God can make one person stronger than the multitude standing against him.

So, if today you feel overwhelmed—if your problems seem greater than your strength, your resources, your answers, or your ability—remember Elijah.

You may be outnumbered, but you are not outpowered.

You may feel alone, but you are not alone.

God with someone is always the majority.

As Paul says:

“If God is for us, who can be against us?”

— Romans 8:31

Today, don't count only what is against you.

Count who is with you.

And when God is with you,

one plus God is always a majority.

Have a blessed day with Jesus!

*Sometimes, birds come to our house. They fly in, stay for a little while, and then fly away. They are visitors.

But sometimes, a bird comes and builds a nest. It makes our house its home. It doesn’t simply visit—it dwells.

There is a difference between visiting a place and making it your home.

The same can be true in our relationship with God.

Some people visit God’s presence occasionally. They come when they need help. They pray when there is a problem. .

But David had a deeper desire.

He said in Psalm 27:4,

“One thing I ask from the LORD… that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life.”

David didn't simply want to visit God's presence. He wanted to live there.

The sons of Korah had the same longing. In Psalm 84, they speak about how their hearts and even their souls long for the courts of the Lord. They saw God's house not merely as a place to visit, but as a place where they belonged.

And then comes the beautiful promise of Psalm 91:1:

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Notice the word: dwells.

God is not looking only for occasional visitors. He invites us to abide—to remain, to stay, to make His presence our home.

So let us stop for one moment and ask ourselves:

Am I only visiting God's presence, or am I dwelling there?

Do I come to Him only when I have a problem or have I learned to remain with Him when everything is going well?

A visitor knows the way to God's house.

But a dweller knows that God's presence is home.

Abide in Him. Dwell in His presence. Make His presence your home..

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. —John 15:5

*27/08/2026

I was going through a difficult season. My heart was heavy, and somehow a Malayalam song heard in my heart —a song I had almost forgotten.

Aazhiyil Naam Kadannu Poyidilum

Athu Namme, Kavinjidaathe Kaathidume

Aazhiyil Naam Kadannu Poyidilum

Athu Namme, Kavinjidaathe Kaathidume

Theeyil, Naamaakilum Jwaala Namme

Thellum Eshaathimmaanuvel Thaan Nadatheedume( yakkobin Daivam ennum namukkullavan)

Its message was simple but powerful:

“When you pass through the waters, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. Emmanuel—God is with us. The God of Jacob is with us.”

I found the song  and wrote it in my diary. It touched me so deeply that I sent it to a few people, along with the video.

Sometimes, in a desert, God doesn't immediately remove the desert.

He gives us an oasis.

He gives us a cup of water.

He gives us a small candle in the darkness.

The next day  evening, I was invited to a cottage meeting. Few families gathered. A brother in Christ started the second song.

And suddenly—Wow!! !!!!!

It was the same song.(yakkobin daivam ennum)

The song that had come to me privately in the morning was now being sung publicly in the evening next day.

It felt like a gentle whisper from God:

“I know what you are going through. I am with you.”

What a balm to the soul!

Like refreshing rain falling on dry ground, God used His people, His song, and His presence to refresh my heart.

Thank You, Jesus, for godly brothers and sisters. Sometimes we don't realize how beautifully God can use one another to bring encouragement at exactly the right moment.

And then my heart went to Psalm 139:

“If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.”

What more do I need?

If I go through the waters—You are there.

If I walk through the fire—You are there.

If I am in the desert—You are there.

If I am surrounded by darkness—You are there.

Yes, Lord, You are the Living God.

Your presence is enough for me.

Emmanuel—God with us.

The God of Jacob is with us.

And that is enough for you and me.

Sing loudly wherever you are..
