*When the Fourth Day Comes..

There are moments in life when it feels like the fourth day has come—when hope seems to have disappeared, when waiting has gone too long, and when we begin to think, “It is too late now.”

Think about Lazarus.

Jesus did not come when Lazarus was sick. He came after Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days. By then, everyone thought the story was over. But Jesus stood before the tomb and said,“Lazarus, come forth!” And the man who had been dead came out alive.

Then think about the disciples in the storm.

It was the fourth watch of the night—the darkest hours before dawn. They had struggled through the night, exhausted and afraid. But Jesus came to them, walking on the water.

He came when they were at the point of greatest weakness.

And remember the three Hebrew men in the fiery furnace.

The fire became hotter. They were thrown into the flames. But suddenly the king saw a fourth man walking in the fire with them.

The fourth man did not keep them outside the fire. He entered the fire with them.

Perhaps you are going through your fourth day today.

Perhaps you have waited too long.

Perhaps your situation looks beyond recovery.

Perhaps you are walking through the darkest fourth watch of the night.

Perhaps you are in a furnace.

Do not conclude that God is late.

The same Jesus who came to Lazarus came to the disciples on the water.
The same Jesus who walked with the Emmaus disciples still walks with His people.
The same presence that appeared as the fourth man in the fire is with you today.

Your fourth day is not the end of the story.

Hebrews 13:8 says:

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

So believe.

Because sometimes, when we think it is too late, Jesus arrives.

And when Jesus arrives, the story changes.
