*It was just a lamb with its horn caught in the thicket. But to Abraham it must have been the most beautiful sight in the world.

 
The sound of the lamb felt for him as a beautiful music he had ever heard. What that lamb meant was his life. Life for his own precious son - the child of promise.

 
The old man must have looked at that lamb through the haze of tears and then cast his eyes  toward heaven. In joy and gratitude called Lord.. Jehovah- jireh.. The Lord will provide..
And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.Genesis 22:13‭-‬14 KJV

After many years.....

 
At the appointed time God gave His only begotten Son on the cross of Calvary.Jesus was crucified.

 
This time there was no voice from heaven. This time there was no ram in the thicket to take His place. This time there was no substitute.

 
The Spotless Lamb of God was the only provision of Jehovah Jireh for the sins of you and me..
By Faith Abraham said "God will provide a Lamb for the burnt offering" And God provided a Spotless Lamb.

 
Oh what a great love of God....
Glory to God.... I look at the cross.... And sing this time..
