*One Word Is Enough

3rd July 2026

This afternoon, I visited a Christian bookshop near my house. I was just browsing, not planning to buy anything. But then I noticed a beautifully illustrated children’s Bible—colorful, new edition. Though it was a bit costly, I still bought it.

After coming home, I wondered, Why did I buy this?

As I casually flipped through the pages, suddenly one line gripped my heart:

“Cover me with the kisses of your mouth…”song of songs 1:2(a) ( wbtc version)

Wow.

One word from God—no one can put a price on it. It carries the depth of an ocean, the fullness of His love. In that moment, I was reminded: I am the Beloved.

The cry of my heart became simple:

“Lord, cover me… cover me with Your love.”

The prodigal son received the father’s kisses when he returned. But here, it is the Beloved—desired, chosen, cherished.

Jesus is fairer than ten thousand.

Like the apple tree among the trees of the forest, He stands alone—life-giving, satisfying, incomparable.

Yes, just one word from Him is enough.

It can fill an empty heart.

Turn dryness into abundance.

Overflow where there was lack.

And still, our hearts long for more—

Your presence…

Your touch…

Your voice…

Yes, Lord… more.

I’ve found a friend in Jesus, He’s everything to me,
  He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;
The Apple-tree of trees, in Him alone I see
All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.
In sorrow He’s my comfort, in trouble He’s my stay,
He tells me every care on Him to roll:
He’s the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.
