God's servant journeyed through the jungles of Africa, sharing the love of God .

There is no way to the next village in the dense forest. He asked the village tribal leader: “Could you send a guide to the next village with me?” The village tribal leader agreed.

With an axe, the guide walked along the road ahead clearing the way: Cutting away the vines and bushes which were full of thorns.

A very arduous journey.

After quite some time, God's servant asked the guide:

“I've been following you for a long time. Which is the way to the destination?”

The guide said “As far as you are concerned, I am your way”

“Follow me.”

The servant of God is once again asked a question

“What's the evidence?”

"These wounds.

The servant of God stared at the wounds on the guide's body without blinking.

He's my way...

**

You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:4-6

Yes: Jesus is the only way.

What's the evidence?

Look at the nail marks on Jesus' hands and feet.

We can also say...

O my Lord!

Oh, my God!

Samuel Logan brengle blessed many through his writings.
How he began his writing ministry?

As a young newly married man he was sent to slums of Boston to share God's love. The place was dangerous. One night he was returning home after ministry a drunken man threw a brick. it hit his head and heavily injured him.

Brengle stayed in hospital for six weeks. Returning home he was unable to resume his schedule for a further period of eighteen months.
During this time he began writing in a magazine  named war cry. Later the articles are printed as a book named 'Helps to holiness ".it was translated to a dozen different languages and sold record number of copies.

For the rest of his life wherever he went people thanked for him for the writings. His response always was " Well if there had been no little brick, there would have been no little book"!!

One day brengle went back to his home and asked his wife about the brick that had almost killed him.

She handed him the brick.. She had written the words of Genesis 50:20  on that brick.
"As for you, you meant it for evil ;but God meant it for good to keep much people alive"..

*
Now let us thank God for all the bricks in our life.... Remember God's Word..
‭‭
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Thank You Lord Jesus.....

🎵🎵

I come  before You today

And there's just one thing that I want to say

Thank you, Lord

Thank you, Lord

For all You've given to me

For all the blessings that I cannot see

Thank you, Lord

Thank you, Lord

With a grateful heart

With a song of praise

With an outstretched arm

I will bless Your name

FATHER OF COMPASSION AND GOD OF ALL COMFORT

Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out--the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, "Don't cry." Then he went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. He said, "Young man, I say to you, get up!" The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. Luke 7:11-15

Two deaths had shattered her life. First was her husband’s. Now it’s her only son’s.

An empty house… loneliness…They reached the town gate. Just a few steps to the burial place. Those who mourn and those who play the pipes and the relatives, are all there. But there is none that could comfort her with words.

There comes another crowd towards them.

That was none other than Jesus of Nazareth and his disciples!!! She didn’t fall at His feet. There weren’t even words of great faith.

Just two words to the widow… CRY NOT.

And to the dead man just eight words… YOUNG MAN, I SAY TO YOU, GET UP…

A never drying fountain of mercy and grace…The river of compassion is overflowing its banks… Streams of comfort flowed into her shattered heart….

Here are the mother and her son going happily to their home.

Mourning turned into dancing

Sack cloth was taken off and happiness was put on

While weeping endured for a night in that house, joy has come in the morning…

Now, can’t you put even one step forward?

No more hopes… All grown faint?

Is your life a valley of tears?

Open your eyes of faith and behold Jesus, once…

That’s all!!

Let the streams of grace overflow!

Have Thine own way Lord

* A hymn that talks about our being the clay and God the potter is "Have Thine Own Way, Lord"

The text was written by Adelaide Addison Pollard, who was born Nov. 27, 1862, into the Presbyterian family of James and Rebecca Pollard. After attending the Denmark Academy , she taught in several girls’ schools.  she was a talented writer of both prose and poetry and produced many religious articles and hymns.

Miss Pollard’s main interest was sharing God's love. Throughout her life, her frail body was plagued with weakness caused by diabetes, but she travelled all over the United States and spoke to numerous groups about Bible teaching.

In 1902, at the age of forty and still single she made plans to go to Africa as a missionary teacher under the leadership of a man named Sanford. When she was on the verge of preparing to sail, at the last minute her funding failed and she was forced to cancel her trip.

The discouraged woman attended a prayer meeting and while sitting quietly heard someone make the following statement: "It’s all right, Lord! It doesn’t matter what you bring into our lives. Just have your own way with us." Thinking about these words on her way home, she put the hymn on paper before retiring that night.

After failing to go to Africa, Adelaide taught for several years in a missionary training school at Nyack-on-the-Hudson, NY. However, when she was nearly sixty, she did make a short trip to Africa just prior to World War I, but with the outbreak of hostilities she was sent to work in England and Scotalnd.

After the war, she returned to America and resumed her speaking tours, despite failing health. On Dec. 20, 1934, at the age of 72, she became ill while waiting to board a train in New York City, NY, to go to a speaking engagement in Philadelphia, PA, and died soon afterward that same day. Her body was buried at Ft. Madison in her native state of Iowa, not far from her hometown.

Too many people spend their whole lives pursuing their own goals and doing what they want to do rather than taking time to seek what God would have them do. But the Christian’s life must be one of complete submission to the will of God. And this attitude is well exemplified by the plea, "Have Thine Own Way, Lord."

The song suggests the way to develop the characteristic of submission to God.

But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.   Isaiah 64:8

*THE SILENCED BELL

The poem, ‘Curfew Must not Ring Tonight’ by Rose Hartwick Thorpe written in 1867 is based on an incident during the reign of Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658)

It describes the deep love of Bessie, a young and beautiful girl, with the young soldier, Basil Underwood. The soldier was charged with a crime and imprisoned. He was tried, found guilty and condemned to be shot dead at the moment when the bell rings to signal the evening curfew.

The executioners were waiting to hear the curfew bell to carry out the execution. Exactly at the prescribed moment, the bell-ringer grabbed the large rope and pulled it with full force to sound the huge bell. The bell moved but there was no sound. He pulled several times but the bell was silent. Cromwell sent soldiers to investigate why the bell did not sound.

They found that Bessie, the soldier’s fiancée had climbed to the top of the bell tower and tied herself to the huge clapper hanging in the heavy bell to prevent its striking against the bell. She was knocked back and forth and smashed between the bell and the clapper with every pull of the rope. Her head, hands and ribs were crushed.

She was produced before Cromwell with a bruised and bleeding body. Cromwell was deeply impressed by her willingness to suffer for love. He appreciated her heroic and courageous action and immediately pardoned the prisoner. He said to the lady, “Your lover shall live because of your sacrifice. Curfew shall not ring tonight.”..

‭‭ ‭

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written,“For Your sake we are being put to death all day long;We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans‬ 8:35-39

‭‭
And Jesus went with him; and a great multitude followed him and thronged him. And a certain woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years and had suffered many things of many physicians and had spent all that she had and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse;Mark‬ ‭5:24‭-‬26‬ ‭

*She was a bruised reed.

Suffering for 12  years

.spent all money she had..

getting worse.

Not allowed to enter the  synagogue..

Physically exhausted.

Socially out from society.

'instead of getting better she grew worse'

But Jesus was surrounded by people...

"If I can touch His clothes... " I will be healed.
Risky decision. She may be rebuked by people.

You may have nothing to give Jesus., only hurts and pain. Just offer Him your hurts, pains and tears.

Just take a step of faith. A touch ..

When the garment of Jesus' is touched- whether by the hand of a broken hearted woman in Galilee or by the prayers of any one in the world... Jesus stops and responds...

This is your time.... Touch Him by faith.. Right now....

Advisory Note: Suicide is not the solution to anything. Seek help from mental health professionals and try to live..

What you read above is a footnote found in newspaper reports. We see this every day. Following the suicide news, the phone number for counselling is being published for the help of everyone.

Suicide is not the solution to anything. Only God, who gave the life, has the authority to take it back.

Speak this word to God in any situation: Jesus, help me. He is near to those whose hearts are broken. He saves those whose hearts are broken.

Two songs in Malayalam come to mind in this connection.

Note: The Malayalam song has been translated to English in Prose style here.

Never has a rain remained unstopped

Never has a wind remained tempestuous forever

Never has a night passed without a morning following

Never has a pain remained aggravated forever

                     .................................................................................

Beyond the fall season

Remember the spring season arrives

Beyond tears running down your cheeks

Remember you have a smile

Of course it's very true. Look at God's face without looking at the circumstances.

Those who looked to Him were radiant. Their faces were not ashamed.‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34:5‬ ‭‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

But now, this is what the Lord says—

he who created you, Jacob,he who formed you, Israel:

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;

I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

When you pass through the waters,

    I will be with you;

and when you pass through the rivers,

they will not sweep over you.

When you walk through the fire,

    you will not be burned;

the flames will not set you ablaze. ‭‭Isaiah ‭43:1‭-‬2‬ ‭‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

      God, help me.

Heal me. Please save my family. Get me out of this state of total destruction. Do a miracle in my life now. In the name of Jesus hear me, Father, Amen."

.................................... ............ :...............

Beyond the fall season

Remember the spring season comes

Beyond tears running down your cheeks

Remember that you have a smile

If you look to God with hope,

Know that you'll be answered

Know that you will be answered

Beyond the fall season…

*Beyond those bitter pains

There’s a sweet healing

Beyond the dark clouds in the sky

Remember there’s a sunshine

If you look at God with faith

   Know that you'll be answered

Know that you will be answered

Beyond the fall season…

Beyond the darkest nights

Remember there’s the radiance of morning

Beyond the raging stormy waters

There’s Jesus the giver of peace

Behold your God in faith

Know He would answer you

Know He would answer you

Beyond the fall season…

In a canoe upon stormy waters (2)

He is with me on the board

The fog the rain and sweltering heat

His precious gifts are all these

Are you going through tough time?

**At times life seems harder than we can bear, especially on days when we’re stunned by grief, worried about the situation in the world, distressed over health or finances, or reeling from waves of trouble. We long for joy in the morning, but sometimes we’re in the darkest night.

In 1 Samuel 30, while fleeing the armies of King Saul, David was attacked at Ziklag by the Amalekites. His family was kidnapped, the town was burned, and his men rebelled against him. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong, and it was David’s darkest hour. He wept till he had no more strength to weep.

According to 1 Samuel 30:6, David responded to his trouble by strengthening himself in the Lord. That simple statement is a sermon to our souls. David was under incredible strain as his circumstances had gone from bad to worse. Yet he refused to give up. He knew how to strengthen himself in the Lord by shifting his attention from his hopelessness to his Helper. Today, we need to remember that all our troubles are temporary, and all our blessings are eternal.

We don’t know when David wrote Psalm 13, but the psalm certainly fits this occasion.

Darkness

Psalm 13 opens with David darkly crying: “How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily?”

These words were written by a man so low in spirits he feared the omniscient God had forgotten him and the loving God had forsaken him. I wonder if you’ve had moments like that. Emotional pain is the cruelest kind, and hopelessness is one of the cruelest kinds of emotional pain. During times of despair, it’s best to be frank about our feelings and to pray honestly, like David, who cried, “How long, O LORD?”

Dawn

As we continue reading Psalm 13, however, we see David turn a corner in verse 3, as he continued, “Consider and hear me, O LORD my God; enlighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; lest my enemy say, ‘I have prevailed against him’; lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved” (verses 3-4).

Though David felt abandoned, he knew better in his heart. His knowledge of God was greater than his emotions of despair. His theology was stronger than his feelings. Despite his pain, he managed to pray, asking God to consider him and to hear him in his hour of need.

There’s one thing we know about the night: It’s not permanent. We are not forsaken, not forgotten, not destitute, not detached. If we can lift our eyes heavenward and whisper a prayer in Jesus’ name, we’ll eventually see a glow on the horizon as the sun begins to rise with healing in its rays. The Lord has a way of imparting grace when we need it most. He enables us hour by hour and moment by moment. He reminds us that our momentary afflictions are not worth comparing to the glory to be revealed.

The Lord doesn’t want us to be stuck in the regrets of yesterday or seized by fear of tomorrow. We simply trust Him for today. He gives grace from moment to moment; and as the hours pass, the darkness turns to dawn and the dawn to daylight.

Daylight

As we come to the end of Psalm 13, David senses the possibility of rejoicing once again. “I have trusted in Your mercy,” he wrote. “My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, because He has dealt bountifully with me” (verses 5-6).

Let me leave you with some hopeful hints for the darkness.

  • If you feel you cannot pray, just Say Lord Jesus help me.
  • If you feel you cannot remember any Scriptures, read Psalm 13 aloud.
  • If you feel you cannot sing, just try the first line of your favorite hymn or praise chorus.
  • If you can’t find a promise, remind yourself of Hebrews 13:5: “He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”

You can strengthen yourself in the Lord. God hasn’t forsaken us, even though the darkest hours in our lives make us feel alone and forgotten. Don’t give up. Moment by moment, His sustaining care will turn the darkness to dawn, the dawn to daylight.

. . Lord pl touch and heal the broken heart.. In Jesus Name. Amen

The ups and downs of life

*Elijah, for example. In one chapter, we see him calling down fire from heaven on the ridge of Mount Carmel. Turn a few pages and he’s hiding under a juniper tree wishing he were dead.

In the first chapter of Job’s book, we see him rich and respected, on top of the world. Happy home. Happy wife. Good health. Great wealth. A few verses later, he went through difficult time.

Consider the patriarch Joseph. He’s pictured in Genesis 40 rotting in prison; turn the page and he’s the Prime Minister of Egypt.

When John the Baptist started preaching, he instantly became the most successful and renowned evangelist in four centuries. But when we next see him, he’s sending word to Jesus from prison, asking, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” (Matthew 11:3)

In Matthew 16, Peter heard Jesus saying to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah.” Five verses later, he heard the same voice say, “Get behind Me, Satan!”

In 2 Corinthians 12, the apostle Paul talked about being caught up into the third heaven; a paragraph later he’s burdened with his thorn in the flesh.

In Revelation 1, the aged apostle John was banished from church and country, sentenced to lonely exile on a penal island; but by verse 10 he was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, caught up in heavenly visions to see the splendor of the enthroned Christ.

King David, wrote  many Psalms. We love his writings because he seems to have known all the ups and downs of life as we do; and there’s a Psalm to match our every situation. Psalm 30 is an excellent example. It begins: “I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up.”

The Hebrew term David used for “lifted up” is the same word that was used for dipping a bucket down into a well and drawing up water. David was saying, “Lord, you reached into the grave and pulled me right out. I was almost gone.” Furthermore, notice the word “extol.” It means “to lift up.” The psalmist was saying, “I will lift You up in my praise, Lord, for You have lifted me up in Your mercy.”

David went on to describe how God had taken him from hurting to healing (verses 1-4); from weeping to joy (verse 5); from prosperity to poverty (verses 6-7); from mourning to dancing (verse 11), and from silence to singing (verse 12). He ended by saying, “You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to You” (verses 11-12, NIV).

Psalm 30 simply reflects Scriptural realism. Life isn’t ideal; troubles hit us hard; we can be cast down. But God is faithful; His compassions never fail, for great is His faithfulness. He is all we need, our All-Sufficient Savior, our All-in-All. Whether we’re up or whether we’re down,Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

What ever be the situation now.. REJOICE IN THE LORD....

she boldly asked the king for lozi name though she didn’t know it at the time such a request  was against protocol  but the king just smiled and said i’ll think about it  later .As he prepared  to leave the king said my wife and I have decided upon a name for you it will be liseli [pronounced lee-she-lee] it means light  just as the sun gives light life to plants and animals  and people .

weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning Psalm 30:5

Mary Magdalene who was possessed by seven demons might have cried during many nights. Nevertheless, Jesus delivered her. She followed Jesus. The eyes of Mary who stood near Jesus’ cross might have over-flowed with tears. Subsequently a long Saturday… Not yet over.

Early in the morning, while he was still dark, when Mary Magdalene went to the tomb, her heart was broken.

The disciples went home, while Mary remained at the tomb crying.

Mary…

Rabboni

The rejoicing of the morning has started. Joyful shout which has not yet stopped on this earth. Shouts of joy and victory. Unspeakable and glorious joy… Fullness of joy…dance of joy…always rejoicing…words are insufficient.

Well, are you who read this article, weeping at night?... There is a rejoicing in the morning that is coming…

Jesus is coming soon…

Still you have questions?

"Mary of Magdalene…"

"Why do you complain, Jacob?

    Why do you say, Israel,

“My way is hidden from the Lord;

my cause is disregarded by my God”?

Do you not know?

    Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God,the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary,  and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. -Isaiah 40:27-29
