Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away. He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds. John 19:38,39

The day when the sun darkened. The Son of God went through excruciating pain on the cross for 6 long hours. Many of His disciples feared and fled. No words can express the tears, the darkness and sadness of that day. Psalm 22 runs into the mind.

In that most shaken hour, a man who had followed Jesus in secret took a small but bold step. He boldly went to the governor and asked for the body of Jesus. The one who had come to meet with Jesus in the night unseen by others also joined him. They laid the body of Jesus in a tomb in which no one was yet placed.

Nevertheless, the coward Joseph became bold enough…

On the third day Jesus rose up. The tomb of Joseph became a beautiful stage of resurrection.

Are you going through a Friday? All hopes gone; A long Saturday is right before…Unaware as to what to do.

Take a step of faith for Jesus.

A small step of obedience…

In moments of darkness, in the valley of tears, like Joseph of Arimathea, a small beginning.

Right now… Today itself…

The morning of resurrection is near.

Be quick.
