My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me. See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.song of songs 2:10, 11

The word ‘Halak’ is used in Hebrew for the English word come. This word is used in other parts of the Scripture meaning “Go”.

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go (Halak) from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. Genesis 12:1

Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go( halak) to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”Genesis 22:2

“Go” is a God’s command.

Go” was a command to the Shulamite who was resting in the comforts of her own house.

For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come. And the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land!! Let the voice of our Lord wake us up. The Lord is calling us to leave aside the security of our homes to uncertainty.

Out of the camp… To the life of faith…To the next steps of discipleship…To the way of the cross…To carry the reproach of Christ… To be His witnesses…My beloved, get up…And… “Go

'Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.Hebrews 13:13
