On 7 June 1979 Napalm bombs were showered on Vietnam.

A 9-year-old girl named Kim Phuk who had taken refuge in a Buddhist centre ran out in to the road screaming, because her body was half scorched by burns from the bombing. Her two relatives were killed, and her clothes were all burnt and charred. 

The photograph of Kim crying aloud and running through that street called No.1, was published throughout the world. Nick Ut, the photographer who captured the image that forced America to end the bombing, took the girl to a hospital where she had to undergo 16 surgeries in 14 months. How dreadful is the story of this little girl called, Kim!! 

After she was healed, Kim wanted to become a doctor and provide care and comfort for the many who were burnt or wounded in the war. But she was disappointed because the government rejected her good intention. So disappointed was she, that she even contemplated putting an end to her life. Hoping to find some comfort in religion, in 1982, she visited a library and began to read the various religious books there. Among them she came across a New Testament in Vietnamese. Reading through the gospel accounts she came across Jesus Christ who was crucified as the despised and rejected one. She then went on to attend a Christmas programme and came to know about Jesus, the Prince of peace. She believed in Jesus and accepted Him as her own Saviour and Lord. Thus, she received peace and joy from the Lord!

Thus, the girl who came to be known as the Napalm girl, encountered Jesus Christ, the Light of the world. Later she got married and she now lives in Canada with her husband and two children. 

In due time her life and activities became a blessing to many! She was selected as the Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO. She also founded the Kim Foundation which serves the scarred and wounded in war, and many such suffering men, women and children.

Today Kim says, “My faith in Jesus has enabled me to forgive those who have hurt and scarred me. It has enabled me to pray for my enemies rather than curse them. And it has enabled me not just to tolerate them but truly to love them. Today, I thank God for that picture. Today, I thank God for everything—even for that road.  Especially for that road.” 

That’s right! There is only one answer for all questions in life … Jesus Christ!

Carinette, who is among the 57 orphans in an orphanage in Haiti, was very happy that day. What could have made this 7-year-old child so different? The children in the orphanage eat the same rice and beans, follow the same schedule and play the same games in the same playground. But what’s the secret of the joy Carinette alone enjoyed? If asked, she would say, “It is my hope and expectation that from a distant land two people will come to take me home; my dad and mom who have adopted me as their own daughter … they know my name, my likes and dislikes, joys and sorrows … they know everything. And also, they have prepared a very large room for me in their home, and they have framed and hung my picture on the walls of that room. Everybody in that house know me very well. Do you know how much my daddy loves me?? He has spent a huge amount to complete all arrangements to take me home. Without being asked Carinette opened her bag and showed a photograph. “See, this is my daddy, and this is my house …” She kept talking endlessly.

As she was talking, in a distant land, many people were making the arrangements to receive the new heir to the house. As she recounted all these, Carinette’s eyes were fixed on the gates of this children’s home alone. Is it my daddy who is at the gate now?

The One who knows us, the One who paid the ransom and redeemed us, the Lord who is preparing a house for us, He is coming soon! In this world filled with cares and worries, what makes us different like Carinette, is the blessed hope. 

May the Hero of all history talk personally to you. May you find in Jesus the answer to the deepest needs of your life. May you remember your highest privilege: you are known by God and cherished by heaven. Keep an eye on the front gate. Your Father will show up to take you home before you know it

1979 ജൂൺ മാസം 7-ാം തീയതി വിയറ്റ്നാമിൽ നാപാം ബോംബ് വർഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.

ഒരു ബുദ്ധമത കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ അഭയം പ്രാപിച്ച കിം ഫ്യൂക്ക് എന്ന 9 വയസ്സുകാരി ശരീരം പാതി പൊള്ളലേറ്റ് റോഡിലൂടെ കരഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ട് ഓടി .അവളുടെ രണ്ടു ബന്ധുക്കൾ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. കിമ്മിന്റെ വസ്ത്രം മുഴുവൻ കരിഞ്ഞു പോയി. നിലവിളിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് No.1 എന്ന വീഥിയിലൂടെ ഓടിയ കിമ്മിന്റെ ഫോട്ടോ ലോകം മുഴുവൻ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. യുദ്ധം നിർത്തൽ ചെയ്യാൻ പ്രചോദിതമായ ഫോട്ടോ എടുത്ത നിക്ക് എന്നയാൾ അവളെ ഒരാശുപത്രിയിലാക്കി. 

പതിനാല് മാസങ്ങൾ പതിനാറ് സർജറി വേണ്ടി വന്ന കിമ്മിന്റെ അവസ്ഥ എത്ര ഭയങ്കരം.

സൗഖ്യമായതിന് ശേഷം ,ഒരു ഡോക്ടറായി യുദ്ധത്തിൽ മുറിവേറ്റ അനേകർക്ക് ആശ്വാസമായിത്തീരാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച കിം നിരാശയായി .ഗവൺമെന്റ് അതിന് അനുകൂലമായിരുന്നില്ല.
വലിയ നിരാശയും ദു:ഖവും അനുഭവിച്ച അവൾ ജീവിതം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. അല്പം സമാധാനത്തിനായി 1982ൽ ഒരു ലൈബ്രറിയിൽ കയറി മത ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങൾ പലതും പരതി. ആ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഒരു പുതിയ നിയമം (ബൈബിൾ ) വിയറ്റ്നാം ഭാഷയിൽ അവൾക്ക് കിട്ടി .സുവിശേഷ ഭാഗങ്ങൾ വായിച്ച അവൾ " നിന്ദാപാത്രമായി ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ട "ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അറിഞ്ഞു. തുടർന്ന് ഒരു ക്രിസ്മസ് മീറ്റിംഗിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത കിം " സമാധാന പ്രഭുവായ '' യേശുവിനെ സ്വന്ത രക്ഷകനും കർത്താവുമായി സ്വീകരിച്ചു: അവൾക്ക് വലിയ സമാധാനവും സന്തോഷവും ദൈവം നൽകി.

അങ്ങനെ നാപാം പെൺകുട്ടി ( Napalm girl) എന്ന് ലോകം വിളിച്ചവൾ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രകാശമായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അറിഞ്ഞു. തുടർന്ന് അവളുടെ വിവാഹം നടന്നു. കുടുംബമായി ഭർത്താവിനോടും രണ്ടു മക്കളോടും ഒന്നിച്ച് കാനഡയിൽ താമസിച്ചു.

പിന്നീട് അനേകർക്ക് അവളുടെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ആശ്വാസമായിത്തീർന്നു .

തുടർന്ന് കിം യുനെസ്കോയുടെ ഗുഡ് വിൽ അംബാസഡറായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു. .
കിം ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ എന്ന സംഘടന മുഖാന്തരം കിം യുദ്ധത്തിൽ മുറിവേറ്റവർ തുടങ്ങി അനേകർക്ക് ആശ്വാസമേകി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.

ഹെയ്ത്തിയിലുള്ള ഒരു അനാഥാശ്രമത്തിലെ 57 കുട്ടികളിൽ ഒരാളായ ക്യാരിനെറ്റ് അന്ന് വളരെ സന്തോഷത്തിലായിരുന്നു .എന്താണ് ആ 7 വയസ്സുകാരിയെ ഇത്രയും വ്യത്യസ്തയാക്കിയത്?

എല്ലാവരും ഒരേ ആഹാരം കഴിക്കുന്നു. ടൈം ടേബിൾ, ഗെയിംസ്, തുടങ്ങി എല്ലാ കുട്ടികൾക്കും എല്ലാം ഒരു പോലെ ...
എന്താണ് സന്തോഷത്തിന്റെ രഹസ്യം?
ക്യാരിനെറ്റ് പറയും.... ദൂരെ നിന്ന് രണ്ടു പേര് എന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകാൻ വരുന്നുണ്ട്. എന്നെ സ്വന്തം മകളായി ദത്തെടുത്ത ഡാഡിയും മമ്മിയും ... എന്റെ പേര് അവർക്കറിയാം, എന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം, ദുഃഖം, സന്തോഷം, ..... എല്ലാം അറിയാം. പിന്നെ ആ വീട്ടിൽ എനിക്കായിട്ട് ഒരു വലിയ മുറി ഒരുക്കി വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് .ആ മുറിയുടെ ഭിത്തിയിൽ എന്റെ ഫോട്ടോ ഫ്രെയിം ചെയ്തിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അവിടെയുള്ള എല്ലാവർക്കും എന്നെ നന്നായി അറിയാം.
പിന്നെ... എന്റെ ഡാഡിക്ക് എന്നെ എത്ര ഇഷ്ടമാണെന്നോ !! എന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകാനുള്ള എല്ലാ ജോലിയും എന്റെ പിതാവ് വലിയ വില കൊടുത്ത് പൂർത്തിയാക്കിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു.

ചോദിക്കാതെ തന്നെ ക്യാരിനെറ്റ് തന്റെ ബാഗ് തുറന്ന് ഒരു ഫോട്ടോ കാണിച്ചു .ദേ! ഇതാണ് എന്റെ ഡാഡി! ഇതാണ് എന്റെ വീടു് " .. അവൾ തുടർച്ചയായി സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

ആ സമയവും വളരെ ദൂരെ അവൾക്കായി എല്ലാം ഒരുക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് ആ വലിയ വീട്ടിൽ അനേകർ അധ്വാനിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു, പുതിയ അവകാശിയെ വരവേൽക്കാനായി .....

ഇതെല്ലാം പറയുമ്പോഴും ക്യാരിനെറ്റിന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ ചിൽഡ്രൻസ് ഹോമിന്റെ ഗേറ്റിലേക്ക് തന്നെയായിരുന്നു.
ആ വരുന്നത് എന്റെ ഡാഡിയായിരിക്കുമോ?


നമ്മെ അറിയുന്ന, വില കൊടുത്തു വീണ്ടെടുത്ത, നമുക്കായി ഒരു ഭവനം ഒരുക്കുന്ന കർത്താവ് വേഗം വരുന്നു!

When great trials arrive, how do you face them? How did the Israelites overcome the Jericho wall and gain victory? How did the king Jehoshaphat, win the war?

Joshua 6, 2 Chronicles 20. We read many incidents in the Scriptures. When the people sang and glorified God, God worked for His people. Today, many finish their days in spirit of heaviness. But we have been called to glorify and praise God in all circumstances. 

It was a season when the Salvation army went through great trials. When William Booth went through many adverse situations, a brick worker named Charles William Fry came to his help. When Charles came with his three children, he had with him enough ammunition to fight a spiritual war. Don’t you want to know that? “Musical instruments”!! Thus a music band was formed. All experienced the power of revival and of zeal in those days when they sang many songs and glorified God.

Charles continued his service in faithfulness. In 1881 he composed a song. These were the last lines:

“Then I'll go sweeping up to Glory to see His blessed face

Where rivers of delight shall ever roll”

What a blessed hope! Later thousands sang this song which was titled as “The lily of the valley”. I have found a friend in Jesus. He is everything to me. He is the fairest of ten thousand. In sorrow He is my comfort. Jesus carries my burdens. Whoever forsakes me, the Lord shall not forsake me, never rejects me. I will live by doing His will. 

Charles sang, Jesus, You who does not forsake me even in my death, I will see Your face wearing the crown of glory. After a few months he left to the presence of the Lord, whom he loved.

Let songs of praise fill our hearts and our lips in these difficult times. Let it rise up to the presence of God as a fragrance. To begin with, let us sing this song itself as we traverse the paths of praise. Amen.

*Bernard newman tells how once he stayed in a bulgarian farmers home. All the time he was there the farmer's daughter was stitching.
Newman said to her "Don't you ever get tired of that eternal sewing?"
"O no! " she said " you see this is my wedding dress"

Work done for love always have a glory.
Yes, love never tires. The Word of God calls the work done in love for Jesus "the labour of love."
Prayer, word meditation, worship, good deeds, ..... may all be from our love for Christ, our Bridegroom ...


Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. Revelation 19: 7‭-‬8

She shall be brought to the King in raiment of needlework; with the virgins, her companions that follow her, she shall be brought to You. With gladness and rejoicing will they be brought; they will enter into the King's palace. Psalm 45 :14‭-‬15

നമ്മുടെ ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായ അവിടത്തെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം പ്രകടമാക്കുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തിയും സ്നേഹപ്രേരിതമായ പ്രയത്നവും നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിലുള്ള പ്രത്യാശയുടെ ഉറപ്പും ഞങ്ങൾ ഓർക്കുന്നു.

1 തെസ്സലോനിക്യർ 1 :3 

പ്രസിദ്ധ എഴുത്തുകാരനായ ബെർനാർഡ് ന്യൂമാൻ ഒരിക്കൽ ബൾഗേറിയ എന്ന രാജ്യം സന്ദർശിക്കാനെത്തി. അവിടെ ഒരു കർഷകന്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽ ചില നാളുകൾ അദ്ദേഹം താമസിച്ചു.
എന്നാൽ ആ ഭവനത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുത്തിയ ഒരു കാഴ്ച, കർഷകന്റെ മകൾ എല്ലായ്പ്പോഴും ഒരു വസ്ത്രം തയ്ച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു!
ബെർനാഡ് ആ പെൺകുട്ടിയോടു് ചോദിച്ചു.
"നീ എപ്പോഴും ഈ വസ്ത്രം തയ്ച്ചിട്ടും മടുത്തു പോകുന്നില്ലേ?"

അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു " ഒരിക്കലുമില്ല" ഇത് എന്റെ വിവാഹ വസ്ത്രമാണ് !!!.

അതെ ,സ്നേഹത്തിൽ മടുപ്പില്ല. യേശുവിനോടുള്ള സ്നേഹത്തിൽ ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തിയെ ദൈവവചനം വിളിക്കുന്ന പേരാണ് "സ്നേഹപ്രയത്നം ".
പ്രാർത്ഥന, വചന ധ്യാനം, ആരാധന,സൽപ്രവർത്തികൾ, ..... എല്ലാം നമ്മുടെ ആത്മമണവാളനായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുള്ള സ്നേഹത്തിൽ നിന്നായിരിക്കട്ടെ...

നാം സന്തോഷിച്ചു ഉല്ലസിച്ചു അവന്നു മഹത്വം കൊടുക്കുക; കുഞ്ഞാടിന്റെ കല്യാണം വന്നുവല്ലോ; അവന്റെ കാന്തയും തന്നെത്താൻ ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവൾക്കു ശുദ്ധവും ശുഭ്രവുമായ വിശേഷവസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പാൻ കൃപ ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആ വിശേഷവസ്ത്രം വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ നീതിപ്രവൃത്തികൾ തന്നേ.
വെളിപ്പാടു 19: 7‭-‬8 

അഃന്തപുരത്തിലെ രാജകുമാരി ശോഭാപരിപൂർണ്ണയാകുന്നു; അവളുടെ വസ്ത്രം പൊൻകസവുകൊണ്ടുള്ളതു. അവളെ ചിത്രത്തയ്യലുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിച്ചു രാജസന്നിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരും; അവളുടെ തോഴിമാരായി കൂടെനടക്കുന്ന കന്യകമാരെയും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരും. സന്തോഷത്തോടും ഉല്ലാസത്തോടും കൂടെ അവരെ കൊണ്ടുവരും; അവർ രാജമന്ദിരത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കും.

“You know, don’t you, that I’m the One who emptied your pantries and cleaned out your cupboards, Who left you hungry and standing in bread lines? ” But you never got hungry for me. You continued to ignore Me.”God's Decree.

“Yes, and I’m the One who stopped the rains three months short of harvest. I’d make it rain on one village but not on another. I’d make it rain on one field but not on another—and that one would dry up. People would stagger from village to village crazed for water and never quenching their thirst. But you never got thirsty for Me. You ignored Me.” God ’s Decree.

“I hit your crops with disease and withered your orchards and gardens. Locusts devoured your olive and fig trees, but you continued to ignore me.” God ’s Decree. “I revisited you with the old Egyptian plagues, killed your choice young men and prize horses. The stink of rot in your camps was so strong that you held your noses— But you didn’t notice me. You continued to ignore Me.” God ’s Decree.

“I hit you with earthquake and fire, left you devastated like Sodom and Gomorrah. You were like a burning stick snatched from the flames. But you never looked my way. You continued to ignore Me.” God ’s Decree.

“All this I have done to you, Israel, and this is why I have done it. Time’s up, O Israel! Prepare to meet your God!”

ഒരു സ്ത്രീ യേശുവിന്റെ വർത്തമാനം കേട്ടു: അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം എങ്കിലും തൊട്ടാൽ ഞാൻ രക്ഷപ്പെടും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു പുരുഷാരത്തിൽകൂടി പുറകിൽ വന്നു അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം തൊട്ടു.മർക്കൊസ് 5:27‭-‬28 

അവളുടെ പേര് നമുക്കറിയില്ല,എന്നാൽ അവളുടെ ദയനീയ അവസ്ഥ നമുക്കറിയാം.
അവൾ ഒരു ചതഞ്ഞ ഓടയാണ്.
"പന്ത്രണ്ടു വർഷമായി പല വൈദ്യൻമാരാലും ഏറിയോന്നു സഹിച്ചു തനിക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ചെലവഴിച്ചിട്ടും ഒട്ടും ഭേദം വരാതെ ഏറ്റവും പരവശയായ ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ".....
എന്നാൽ സൌജന്യമായി രോഗികളെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കുന്ന ഒരു നല്ല ഡോക്ടറെക്കുറിച്ച് അവൾ കേട്ടു .എല്ലാ രോഗങ്ങൾക്കും നല്ല വൈദ്യനായ യേശു. മാത്രമല്ല അവിടുന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട് സൌഖ്യമുളളവർക്കല്ല രോഗികൾക്കാണ് വൈദ്യനെക്കൊണ്ടാവശ്യം.

യായിറൊസിന്റെ മകളെ സുഖപ്പെടുത്തുവാനായി വീഥിയിലൂടെ നടന്ന പോയ യേശുവിന്റെ ചുറ്റിലും വലിയ പുരുഷാരം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

വിശ്വാസത്താൽ അവൾ യേശുവിന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിൽ തൊട്ടു .അവൾ ആ നിമിഷം പൂർണ്ണ സൗഖ്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു.

മനുഷ്യർ പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു.
ക്രിസ്തു യേശു വിജയിച്ചു

എന്നാൽ അവളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മഹത്വപൂർണ്ണമായ നിമിഷത്തിലേക്ക് അവൾ എത്തിച്ചേർന്നു.
ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുത്രനായ യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവു മായി ഒരു കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച്ച.!! അവൾ യേശുവിനെ വ്യക്തമായി കണ്ടു. കർത്താവ് അവളെ വിളിച്ചു " മകളേ......

ഇതു വായിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങൾ ഒരു ചതഞ്ഞ ഓടയാണോ?
പുകയുന്ന തിരി? എല്ലാ പ്രതീക്ഷകളും അസ്തമിച്ചുവോ?
ഒരു സദ് വാർത്ത നിങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കട്ടെ...

ചതഞ്ഞ ഓട അവൻ ( യേശു)ഒടിച്ചുകളകയില്ല; പുകയുന്ന തിരി കെടുത്തുകളകയില്ല.

നാളെക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കേണ്ട.ഈ നിമിഷം തന്നെ യേശു കർത്താവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരിക..
ഈ നല്ല വൈദ്യനെ കരങ്ങൾ നീട്ടി സ്പർശിക്കുക.........

When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

*We don’t know her name, but we know her situation. she was sick, desperate and tired. She was a bruised reed.

She spent all the money she had for her treatment. But no one could heal her.

And she heard of another physician who charges no fee! A physician who asks nothing in return. Moreover, she came to know that this Jesus came, not for the healthy, but to heal the sick and help the poor.

By the time she gets to Jesus, He is surrounded by people. He is on the way to help the daughter of Jairus, a known person in the society.

By faith she moved forward and touched His clothes. She was healed completely...

Where men failed, Christ succeeded...

But the glorious moment came, when she saw the face of Jesus…(coming face to face with Son of God). What a glorious time in her life!

All the sufferings of past 12 years vanished in a second...and the Great Physician calls her " daughter"

Are you a bruised reed? A smoldering wick?

lonely? sick? depressed....

you have good news...

A bruised reed He will not break, and a smouldering wick, He will not snuff out.

വലിയ പ്രതിസന്ധികൾ വരുമ്പോൾ എങ്ങനെയാണ് നാം അതിനെ നേരിടുന്നത്? യെരീഹോ കോട്ട യിസ്രായേൽ ജനം എങ്ങനെയാണ് തരണം ചെയ്ത് ജയം നേടിയത് ? യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് രാജാവ് യുദ്ധം ജയിച്ചത് എപ്രകാരമാണ്?

യോശുവ 6, 2 ദിനവൃത്താന്തം 20
തിരുവചനത്തിൽ അനേകം സംഭവങ്ങൾ നാം വായിക്കുന്നു ദൈവത്തെ പാടി സ്തുതിച്ച് മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തിയപ്പോൾ ദൈവം ദൈവജനത്തിന് വേണ്ടി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.
ഇന്ന് അനേകർ വിഷണ്ഡ മനസ്സുമായി ദിവസങ്ങൾ തളളി നീക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഏതവസ്ഥയിലും ദൈവത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തി മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ നാം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

സാൽവേഷൻ ആർമി വലിയ പ്രതിസന്ധികളിലൂടെ കടന്നു പോയ കാലം. വില്യം ബൂത്തിന് അനേകം പ്രതികൂലങ്ങൾ നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നപ്പോൾ ഒരു ഇഷ്ടികപ്പണിക്കാരനായ ചാൾസ് വില്യം ഫ്രൈ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ സഹായിപ്പാൻ എത്തി. ചാൾസ് തന്റെ മൂന്നു മക്കളുമായി വന്നപ്പോൾ ആത്മീയ പോരാട്ടത്തിനുള്ള ആയുധങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ കൈവശം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു .അത് എന്താണെന്നറിയേണ്ടേ? "സംഗീത ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ!!
അങ്ങനെ ഒരു സംഗീത ബാൻഡ് രൂപം കൊണ്ടു. അനേക ഗാനങ്ങൾ പാടി ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിച്ച നാളുകളിൽ ഒരു ഉണർവ്വിന്റെയും ഉത്സാഹത്തിന്റെയും ശക്തി എല്ലാവരും അനുഭവിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു.

ചാൾസ് തന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷ വിശ്വസ്തയോടെ തുടർന്നു.1881-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു ഗാനം രചിച്ചു.
അതിന്റെ അവസാനത്തെ വരികൾ ഇപ്രകാരമായിരുന്നു.

"മഹിമയിൽ ഞാൻ കിരീടം ചൂടി
അവൻ മുഖം ഞാൻ ദർശിക്കും
അങ്ങു ജീവന്റെ നദി കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുമേ"

എത്ര ഭാഗ്യകരമായ പ്രത്യാശ! പിന്നീട് The lilly of the Valley എന്ന പേരിൽ ആയിരങ്ങൾ ആ ഗാനം പാടി.
'യേശുവിൽ എന്റെ തോഴനെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടു. അവൻ എനിക്കെല്ലാമാണ്: യേശു പതിനായിരങ്ങളിൽ ഏറ്റവും സുന്ദരനാണ്. ദു:ഖവേളകളിൽ അവൻ എനിക്കാശ്വാസമാണ്.
എന്റെ ഭാരങ്ങൾ യേശു വഹിക്കുന്നു. ആരെല്ലാം എന്നെ കൈവെടിഞ്ഞാലും കർത്താവ് എന്നെ മറക്കുകയില്ല, ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയുമില്ല. അവിടുത്തെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്തു ഞാനെന്നും ജീവിക്കും.'

മരണത്തിലും എന്നെ കൈവിടാത്ത യേശുവേ, തേജസ്സിന്റെ കീരിടം ധരിച്ച് അവിടുത്തെ മുഖം ഞാൻ ദർശിക്കും എന്ന് പാടിയ ചാൾസ് ചില മാസങ്ങൾ കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ തന്റെ പ്രിയനായ യേശുവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിലേക്ക് കടന്നു പോയി.

ഈ ദുർഘട സമയങ്ങളിൽ നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലും നാവിലും സ്തുതിഗാനങ്ങൾ നിറയട്ടെ .അത് സൌരഭ്യവാസനയായി കർത്താവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിലേക്ക് ഉയരട്ടെ.

        Joseph Scriven, the blessed song writer was born in 1819 in a Christian home in Ireland. He was graduated from the famous Trinity College. Just a day before his wedding, his fiancée died in an accident.

When he was 25 years of age, he moved to Canada. The following years he committed his life to serve the poor. The work of Joseph Scriven was a great comfort to many widows and the destitute. Subsequently his engagement to a girl named Eliza was fixed. However, a few days before their wedding she too left the world due to Pneumonia. Joseph still continued to serve the poor with faithfulness. 

In 1855 Joseph was down with sickness. When a friend of him paid him a visit, he saw him scribbling something on a paper as he lay on his sick bed. “What are these lines? Who wrote these?” Joseph’s friend asked him. “This was written together by Christ Jesus and me”. Joseph replied. Well, let me read this…His friend read the lines of the song.

       Let this song be a consolation for my sick mom who is in Ireland; said Joseph Scriven to his friend. Joseph went through many fiery trials in his life. In this midst of these, what sustained him was the revelation “Jesus is my Friend”. 

      There is only one who knows your actual state, you who reads these lines. That is none but your friend Jesus. He knows all. Sin, troubles, trials, anxieties, loneliness, fear… all of that…

Tell all of these to the Lord. He has carried all of our sins and illnesses…This is a prayer song.  

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Tell Jesus. He shall carry us in his arms. We have our solace there, and courage…

അനുഗ്രഹീത ഗാന രചയിതാവായ ജോസഫ് സ്ക്രിവൻ 1819- ൽ അയർലണ്ടിലുള്ള ഒരു ക്രിസ്തീയ ഭവനത്തിൽ ജനിച്ചു. ട്രിനിറ്റി കോളേജിൽ പഠിച്ച് ഡിഗ്രി നേടി. ജോസഫ് വിവാഹം നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്ന പെൺകുട്ടി വിവാഹത്തിന് ഒരു ദിവസം മുമ്പ് ഒരപകടത്തിൽ മരിച്ചു.

25-ാം വയസ്സിൽ അദ്ദേഹം കാനഡയിലേക്ക് താമസം മാറി. തുടർന്നുള്ള ജീവിതം എളിയവരെ സഹായിക്കുവാൻ അദ്ദേഹം സമർപ്പിച്ചു. ജോസഫ് സ്ക്രിവന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ അനേകം വിധവമാർക്കും അനാഥർക്കും വലിയ ആശ്വാസമായിത്തീർന്നു.
തുടർന്ന് എലിസ എന്ന പെൺകുട്ടിയുമായി വിവാഹം നിശ്ചയിച്ചു. എങ്കിലും വിവാഹത്തിന് ചില നാളുകൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് അവൾ ന്യൂമോണിയ ബാധിച്ച് ഈ ലോകത്ത് നിന്ന് കടന്നു പോയി.
ജോസഫ് വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ എളിയവരെ സഹായിക്കുന്നത് തുടർന്നു പോന്നു.

1855 ൽ രോഗിയായ കിടന്ന ജോസഫിനെ കാണാൻ വന്ന സ്നേഹിതൻ ഒരു പേപ്പറിൽ എന്തോ കുറിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ രോഗക്കിടക്കയിൽ കണ്ടു.
"എന്താണ് ഈ വരികൾ "? ആരാണ് ഇത് എഴുതിയത്?സുഹൃത്ത് ജോസഫിനോട് ചോദിച്ചു.
" ഇത് കർത്താവായ യേശുവും ഞാനും ചേർന്നെഴുതിയതാണ് " ജോസഫ് മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
ആട്ടെ, ഞാൻ ഇതൊന്നു വായിക്കട്ടെ ....
സ്നേഹിതൻ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ വായിച്ചു.

അയർലണ്ടിൽ രോഗിയായ കിടക്കുന്ന എന്റെ അമ്മയ്ക്ക് ആശ്വാസമാകട്ടെ ഈ ഗാനം .
ജോസഫ് സ്ക്രിവൻ സ്നേഹിതനോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
ജോസഫ് തന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ വലിയ ശോധനകളിലൂടെ കടന്നു പോയി .എങ്കിലും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നില നിർത്തിയത് " യേശു എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനാണ്; എന്ന ദൈവീക വെളിപ്പാടായിരുന്നു.

ഈ വരികൾ വായിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ അവസ്ഥ അറിയുന്ന ഒരാൾ മാത്രമേ ഉള്ളു. അത് മറ്റാരുമല്ല നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹിതനായ ക്രിസ്തു യേശു .
എല്ലാം അവിടുന്ന് അറിയുന്നു .പാപം, കഷ്ടം,ശോധന, ആകുലത, ഏകാന്തത, ഭയം..... എല്ലാം ....
എല്ലാം കർത്താവിനോട് പറയുക. അവൻ നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങളേയും രോഗങ്ങളേയും വഹിച്ചവനാണ്....
ഇത് ഒരു പ്രാർത്ഥനാ ഗാനമാണ്.
മിത്രങ്ങൾ പോലും നിന്ദിക്കുന്നുവോ?
യേശുവിനോട് പറയുക .ഉള്ളം കൈയ്യിൽ അവിടുന്ന് നമ്മെ വഹിക്കും. അവിടെ നമുക്ക് ആശ്വാസമുണ്ട് ,ധൈര്യമുണ്ട്........

ഇനിയും നിങ്ങളെ ദാസന്മാരെന്ന് ഞാൻ വിളിക്കുന്നില്ല; യജമാനൻ ചെയ്യുന്നത് എന്താണെന്നു ദാസൻ അറിയുന്നില്ലല്ലോ. എന്റെ പിതാവിൽനിന്നു കേട്ടതെല്ലാം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകാണ്ടാണ് എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വിളിക്കുന്നത്.

Daniel Webster Whittle was born in 1840 in Massachusetts, U.S. In his later years he was known as Major Daniel Whittle. Even though he obtained a high position in the military service, he lost an arm, in the war which was fought at Vicksburg. 

While he spent his days in the military hospital in sadness, he asked for something to read. One gentleman gave him a New Testament to read. He read it and believed in Jesus.

After some time, he was asked to pray for a boy who was on the verge of death. As he knelt down at the bed of the boy, he prayed for the boy after committing his own life completely. A great peace emanated on the face of the boy. He went to be with the Lord. Nonetheless, Daniel became a new person. The hope that he will see the boy again in the presence of the Lord strengthened him. The following years he committed his life as a soldier of the kingdom of God.

The great tragedy in the life of Daniel could have thrown his life into depression. Nevertheless, he received Jesus the source of all blessings and composed a song. Ten thousands sang that song and rejoiced in Christ!!

Showers of blessing,

Showers of blessing we need:

Mercy-drops round us are falling,

But for the showers, we plead.

In how many marriage ceremonies, in how many Christian gatherings, this song has been sung… Send O Lord, seasons of refreshing… O Lord, mercy drops are not adequate, rather we plead for showers, O God…Let our dry lives become fruitful! Amen.

ദാനിയേൽ വെബ്സ്റ്റർ വിറ്റൽ 1840-ൽ ജനിച്ചു.പിൽക്കാലത്ത് അദ്ദേഹം അറിയപ്പെട്ടത് മേജർ ദാനിയേൽ വിറ്റൽ എന്നായിരുന്നു. മിലിട്ടറി സർവീസിൽ ഉന്നതസ്ഥാനം ദാനിയേലിന് ലഭിച്ചു എങ്കിലും വികസ് ബർഗ് എന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് വച്ച് യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഒരു കൈ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു.

മിലിട്ടറി ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ദു:ഖിതനായി അദ്ദേഹം ചിലവഴിച്ച ഒരു ദിവസം വായിക്കുവാൻ എന്തെങ്കിലും തരണം എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഒരാൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് വായിക്കുവാൻ ഒരു പുതിയ നിയമം ബൈബിൾ നൽകി. അത് വായിച്ച് ദാനിയേൽ യേശുവിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു!

ചില നാളുകൾ കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ മരണാസന്നനായ ഒരു ബാലന് വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുവാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഒരാൾ നിർബന്ധിച്ചു. കിടക്കയുടെ അരികിൽ മുട്ടുകുത്തി ദാനിയേൽ തന്റെ ജീവിതത്തെ സമ്പൂർണ്ണമായി സമർപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് ബാലനായി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു. വലിയ സമാധാനം ആ കുട്ടിയുടെ മുഖത്ത് പ്രതിഫലിച്ചു. അവൻ കർത്താവിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് കടന്നു പോയി.
എന്നാൽ ദാനിയേൽ ഒരു പുതിയ വ്യക്തിയായി മാറി. കർത്താവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ബാലനെ വീണ്ടും കാണാം എന്ന പ്രത്യാശ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തി.
തുടർന്നുള്ള കാലങ്ങൾ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഒരു പടയാളിയായി അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ ജീവിതം സമർപ്പിച്ചു. 

ദാനിയേലിന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ സംഭവിച്ച വലിയ ദുരന്തം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജീവിതത്തെ നിരാശയിലേക്ക് തള്ളിവിടാമായിരുന്നു .എന്നാൽ അനുഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ ഉറവയായ യേശുവിനെ സ്വീകരിച്ച ദാനിയേൽ ഒരു ഗാനം രചിച്ചു.
പതിനായിരങ്ങൾ പാടി ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ ആനന്ദിച്ച ഗാനം !!

Try to visualise with your spiritual eyes the picture of a group of people waiting for the bridegroom who is coming out of the vineyard. Suddenly they realise that it is not one person but two people who are coming from a distance.

The bridesmaids asked each other with great excitement: “Who are these two people … the groom and …?” Who is she who is coming out of the desert leaning on to her **(his)Beloved?

Look, it is no one else than --------------, she is the one leaning on to His bosom, listening to the heartbeats of her Beloved … it is none other than -------------------------. 

Another of the maids looked into the horizon and ascertained who the two people were who were coming up …. Yes, it is ------------, it is definitely her, who else can it be? Look, she is resting on the bosom of Jesus Christ, her Beloved.

On this wilderness journey she has no one else to lean on, other than her Jesus!

Even though believers have fervent desires and are stirred to seek the Lord, yet they cannot but become conscious at the same time of an inadequate measure of strength for such arduous pursuit. The power to pursue is not just the power given by the Holy Spirit and deposited within us to enable us to seek Him. It is not that alone. Rather, it is a revelation of the Lord Jesus given by the Holy Spirit as outside and way beyond us, and thus drawing us to Himself by His own beauty and magnificent glory. The drawing power of the Person of the Lord Jesus Himself generates the pursuing power in us. If the Lord draws us by the revelation of Himself through His Spirit, then the seeking after Him is relatively easy. If the Lord draws, then “we will run after thee.” To run after means a continuous desire. It is the attracting power of the Lord Himself which alone creates the continuous power to so seek and so run. This is something we must learn and understand. No man of His own volition is able to seek out and come into the realized presence of the Lord of glory.

When we were yet sinners we needed the leading of the Holy Spirit, and only by His help were we able to come to the Lord. Likewise, after we have become believers, we still need that same help in order to run after the Lord with continuous desire.

Here also we see a believer’s relationship to all other believers. It is I who am drawn (“draw me”), but it is we who run after Him. It is I who am being led into the inner chambers, but it is we who will “be glad and rejoice. ”Whenever the individual believer receives grace from the presence of the Lord, then other believers cannot but receive favorable impressions......

And you shall remember all the ways in which the LORD your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, in order to humble you, putting you to the test, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. Deuteronomy 8:2

In days of trials and challenges, when all paths are uncertain and when it seems impossible to move forward, the Lord has one thing to tell us … ‘Remember’!

We should remember the ways the Lord led us through all the years that have gone by. We need to thank Him; then we will receive the strength to move on. 

Yet the Lord says, “During the forty years that I led you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet.Deuteronomy 29:5 

A study conducted by a General in the US army reveals these facts:

For forty years the Lord led thirty lakhs of people in an awesome manner. They required 1500 tonnes of food per day, which is equal to two goods trains of food. If the food for one person per day cost 1 dollar, it took 9 million dollars per day for the food alone. Cooking for that many people required 4000 tonnes of firewood, and everyday demanded 10 million gallons (1 gallon = 3.7 lit) of water.

Yet the Lord provided for them every day and they lacked nothing … manna, quail, water … pillar of cloud and pillar of fire… praise the Lord!

We serve the very same God! No one is able to grasp completely the ways the Lord has led you all these years … sickness, dangers, face to face encounters with death, attacks of the evil one, temptations to sin, days when you decided you do not want to live, times when you could not take even a single step forward.

But the Lord held your hand and led you up to this point! Jesus is able to lead you into eternity!

‘Remember’ … the ways in which the Lord led you in the days of the past! Hallelujah!

For this God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our guide even to the end.Psalms 48:14 

 

Charles Colson, the founder of Prison Fellowship, describes one of his experiences in life in this manner:

After an overnight flight to Jakarta, Colson had to wait in a long queue at the airport. It made him very tired; and though it was a hot day, Colson, being a believer in God, stayed calm. 

However, there was someone in that airport who was observing Mr Colson. He was a senior partner in a Singapore based law firm. Having a Chinese background and rooted in the tradition of Confucianism, this man had no knowledge of Christianity. But his children used to attend Sunday school at a church. He recognised that one of the books his children brought back home from their Sunday school, had a picture of the man standing calmly in the queue. He decided to go home and read the book, though he did not try to get to know or talk to Colson.

Two years later, Charles received a letter which read like this: ‘I read the book titled ‘Born Again’, written by the man who stood calm in a long and tedious queue, and I gave my life to Jesus Christ. Many thanks!’

Let us spread the aroma of Christ everywhere in these unfortunate times!

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us reveals the fragrance of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 2 Corinthians 2:14-15

ഒരു നേരത്തെആഹാരത്തിന് ഒരാൾക്ക് ഒരു ഡോളർ ചെലവായാൽ ദിവസം 9 മില്യൻ ഡോളർ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന് മാത്രമായി ചിലവഴിക്കേണ്ടി വരും.
ആഹാരം പാകം ചെയ്യുവാൻ ദിവസേന 4000 ടൺ വിറക് വേണം.
ഓരോ ദിവസവും 11 മില്യൻ ഗാലൻസ് വെള്ളം ആവശ്യമാണ്.(1 gallon..3.7 litres)

എന്നാൽ ഒരു ദിവസം പോലും കുറവ് വരാതെ ദൈവം അവരെ പുലർത്തി.
മന്ന, കാടപ്പക്ഷി, വെള്ളം, ..... മേഘസ്തംഭം, അഗ്നിത്തൂൺ ...... ദൈവത്തിന് മഹത്വം!

ഇതേ ദൈവത്തെയാണ് നാം സേവിക്കുന്നത്.
ഇന്നു വരെ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളെ നടത്തിയ വിധങ്ങൾ മറ്റൊരാൾക്കും പൂർണ്ണമായി അറിയില്ല.
രോഗങ്ങൾ, അപകടങ്ങൾ, മരണത്തെ മുഖാമുഖം കണ്ട നിമിഷങ്ങൾ,പൈശാചിക പോരാട്ടം, പാപ പ്രലോഭനങ്ങൾ, ഇനി ജീവിതം വേണ്ട എന്നു ചിന്തിച്ച ദിവസങ്ങൾ ......
മുൻപോട്ട് ഒരു ചുവട് പോലും വയ്ക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെ തളർന്ന നിമിഷങ്ങൾ ....

എന്നാൽ ദൈവം കൈപിടിച്ച് ഇവിടെ വരെ എത്തിച്ചു .നിത്യത വരെയും യേശു കർത്താവ് നിങ്ങളെ നടത്താൻ മതിയായവൻ!

ഈ ദൈവം എന്നും എന്നേക്കും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമാകുന്നു; അവൻ നമ്മെ ജീവപര്യന്തം വഴിനടത്തും.

In the past few days I noticed one thing as I went out from my home; there was none smiling, none laughing. I saw many faces on the roads, and in shops. They all were gloomy.

Some were struggling to smile through.

As you read this report, does your heart rejoice or does a smile appear on your face? Are you going through such tough situations as these? If so,

      I have a good news for you..

       Jesus Loves you!

 A child of God can rejoice in His Lord. The bride of Christ can say..

1)   I am the rose of Sharon and a lily of the valley .Song of songs 2:1

The Hebrew text says, “a rose of Sharon.” The word Sharon can be translated “His song.” She now sees herself as the one He sings over. Glory to God ! The Lord of heaven and earth rejoices over me and I am HIS SONG!!

On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: “Fear not, O Zion;  let not your hands grow weak. The Lord your God is in your midst,  a mighty One who will save;  He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3 :16 - 17 

2)I am His beloved...

"My beloved is mine, and I am His. He feeds His  flock among the lilies. Song of Solomon 2 :16 "

 The Hebrew word, usually translated “beloved,” is taken from a root word that means “to boil.” The implication is that the beloved causes her heart to boil over with passion.

Look at the love of Jesus for you on the cross. Let our heart boil with deep love and passion for Him..

The watchman called out to the king and reported it.The king said, “If he is alone, he must have good news.” And the runner came closer and closer.Then the watchman saw another runner, and he called down to the gatekeeper, “Look, another man running alone!”The king said, “He must be bringing good news, too.” 2 Samuel 18:25-26.

In the Old Testament times, the runner who brought news about victory from the battlefield is called the bearer or messenger of good news. In those days there were no news broadcasters like we have today, and so when victory was won, it was very important for the victorious side to send a messenger to deliver the good news. So, forgetting everything he would run with all his might to convey the news to the king and all people. His desire to see all people rejoice greatly over the victory, must have strengthened him to run as fast as he could.

However, the greatest ‘good news’ ever announced is the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the good news of the victory of our Lord Jesus who defeated death, after He disarmed the powers and authorities and triumphed over them by the cross. 

In chapter 10 of the letter written to the Romans, Paul describes very clearly the gospel of our Lord Jesus. But who will make it known to all people?How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10: 14-15.

Not only that we read in Ephesians 6:15 that we should put on as shoes for our feet, but the readiness also given by the gospel of peace.

That is why centuries ago prophet Isaiah proclaimed loudly: 

How delightful on the mountains are the feet of one who brings good news,Who announces peace And brings good news of happiness,Who announces salvation,And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7

Millions of people are waiting to hear this good news. The door of the ark is about to close. At least today would you tell the Lord?

Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” 

Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Thomas Obadiah Chisholm was born into an ordinary family. As a teacher and newspaper editor he could make just enough money to meet his living expenses. By the Lord’s grace, at the age of 27, he believed in the Lord Jesus and was saved. Though he was tormented by many physical ailments, he was able to write songs that have been a blessing to many, the most famous among them being ‘Great is Thy faithfulness’ which he wrote when he was 57 years.

Right to the very end of his life, Chisholm continued to sing of the faithfulness of the Lord, never forgetting any of the small or big favours that the Lord had done in his life. What an excellent example!

The song begins with a description of the unfailing faithfulness of the Lord; He is my Father;He never changes; how great is the faithfulness of the Eternal God! God of all lights, your love is new every morning, it never fades. He goes on to thank the Lord for great blessing that His beautiful creations are! Everything in creation describes the goodness of the Lord!

I give praise to You, O Lord, because you forgave all my sins. Your presence is always with me; You give me the strength I need for today, and the heavenly hope that helps me face tomorrow with courage, and for all these, my Abba Father, I thank you a thousand times! Yes, Lord, your faithfulness is great indeed!It is because of the Lord’s mercies that we have not perished!

The LORD’S acts of mercy indeed do not end,For His compassions do not fail.They are new every morning;Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Nearer my God to Thee, nearer to Thee

Sarah Flower Adams was someone who went through many hardships in her life. Her mother passed away when she was five years old, and when her sister Elisa was suffering from tuberculosis, Sarah took great care of her and yet her sister passed away. Two years later, the forty-three-year-old Sarah also departed from this world having suffered from tuberculosis. But it was after leaving us a beautiful song that she left this world. 

And that song is, ‘Nearer my God to Thee’.

Sarah found great delight in composing songs. One day, a man of God, after he had taught Genesis 28: 10 – 19, encouraged Sarah to write a song based on the text. In the years to come, that song turned out to be a song that drew many hearts to the Lord. It is believed that when Titanic was sinking, the crew in the ship was singing this song in those last moments of their lives.

This song, which is rather forgotten these days, awakened my heart!  And may all our hearts be awakened by the dream that Jacob saw when, alone in the desert, he lay down and rested his head on a stone. Yes, the Lord is with me, this place is the Bethel, the house of the Lord, and in these days of trials and sorrows, let us stand nearer and nearer to the Lord!

കാവൽക്കാരൻ രാജാവിനോടു വിളിച്ച് അറിയിച്ചു. അവൻ ഏകൻ എങ്കിൽ സദ്വർത്തമാനവും കൊണ്ടാകുന്നു വരുന്നത് എന്നു രാജാവ് പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ നടന്നടുത്തു. പിന്നെ കാവൽക്കാരൻ മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ ഓടി വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു; കാവൽക്കാരൻ വാതിൽ കാക്കുന്നവനോട്: ഇതാ, പിന്നെയും ഒരു ആൾ തനിച്ച് ഓടി വരുന്നു എന്നു വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. അവനും സദ്വർത്തമാനദൂതനാകുന്നു എന്നു രാജാവ് പറഞ്ഞു. 2 ശമൂവേൽ 18 :25‭-‬26 

പഴയ നിയമ കാലത്ത് യുദ്ധം നടക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് നിന്ന് തങ്ങൾക്ക് ലഭിച്ച വിജയത്തിന്റെ "നല്ല വാർത്ത " മറ്റുള്ളവരെ അറിയിക്കുന്നവനാണ് സുവാർത്താ ദൂതൻ.
ഇന്നത്തെപ്പോലെ ഒരു വാർത്താവിനിമയ സംവിധാനവും ഇല്ലാത്ത കാലം.
യുദ്ധം ജയിച്ചു കഴിയുമ്പോൾ അത് മറ്റുള്ളവരെ എത്രയും വേഗം അറിയിക്കണം എന്ന ഉദ്ദേശ്യത്തോടെ അവർ എല്ലാം മറന്ന് വളരെ വേഗത്തിൽ ഓടുമായിരുന്നു.
" വിജയത്തിന്റെ വാർത്ത " എല്ലാവരും അറിഞ്ഞ് സന്തോഷിക്കേണം എന്ന ആഗ്രഹം അവരെ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തി എന്നു ഞാൻ കരുതുന്നു.

എന്നാൽ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ "ഗുഡ് ന്യൂസ് " കർത്താവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷമാണ്.2000 വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് വാഴ്ചകളെയും അധികാരങ്ങളേയും ആയുധവർഗ്ഗം വെയ്പ്പിച്ച, മരണത്തെ ജയിച്ച നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവിന്റെ ജയം!!

റോമർക്ക് എഴുതിയ ലേഖനം 10-ാം അദ്ധ്യായം സുവിശേഷം എന്താണെന്ന് വ്യക്തമായി വിവരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ ഇത് ആര് മറ്റുള്ളവരെ അറിയിക്കും?

"എന്നാൽ തങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്തവനെ അവർ എങ്ങനെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും? കേട്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്തവനിൽ അവർ എങ്ങനെ വിശ്വസിക്കും? ആരെങ്കിലും പ്രസംഗിക്കാതെ എങ്ങനെ കേൾക്കും? അയയ്ക്കപ്പെടാതെ എങ്ങനെ പ്രസംഗിക്കും? “സുവാർത്ത ഘോഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ പാദം എത്ര മനോഹരം!” എന്ന് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നല്ലോ.
റോമർ 10: 14‭-‬15

അതു മാത്രമല്ല "സമാധാനസുവിശേഷത്തിനായുള്ള ഒരുക്കം കാലിന് ചെരുപ്പായി "ധരിക്കണം എന്ന് എ ഫേസ്യർ 6: 15 -ൽ നാം വായിക്കുന്നു.

അതു കൊണ്ടാണ് യെശയ്യാവു് നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞത് ...
"സമാധാനത്തെ ഘോഷിച്ചു നന്മയെ സുവിശേഷിക്കുകയും രക്ഷയെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കുകയും സീയോനോട്: “നിന്റെ ദൈവം വാഴുന്നു” എന്നു പറയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന സുവാർത്താദൂതന്റെ കാൽ പർവ്വതങ്ങളിന്മേൽ എത്ര മനോഹരം!
യെശയ്യാവ്. 52 :7

ഈ സുവാർത്ത (ഗുഡ് ന്യൂസ് ) കേൾക്കുവാൻ ആയിരങ്ങൾ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു .പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽ അടയാറായി . ഇന്നെങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തോട് പറയുമോ?

"അനന്തരം “ഞാൻ ആരെ അയയ്ക്കേണ്ടു? ആര് നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി പോകും?” എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്ന കർത്താവിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടിട്ട്: “അടിയൻ ഇതാ അടിയനെ അയയ്ക്കേണമേ” എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

Today in this world many are going through discouragement, depression and deep mental anguish. We hear only distressing news, from morning till evening. In the midst of these, a child of God can still rejoice in His Lord Jesus.

The bride of Christ is getting ready to meet the Bridegroom. And the prayer of this day is "Draw me in to Your heart, O Lord". We will run away together into the inner chamber.

The Hebrew text literally means “the king’s chamber inside of a chamber.” This points us to the Holy of Holies inside the temple chamber. No distractions there, the glory filled place is so calm and we are enjoying His divine presence. Grace and peace are overflowing into the bride's heart.

What will happen next? We will rejoice in our Lord!Hebrew root word for “rejoice” ( gyl ) is a homonym for “spinning in a circle or dance.”The implication is that we dance for joy when we remember his love.

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.Psalm 16: 11

When one person is rejoicing in the Lord, he will draw others to worship God and sing joyful songs to Him.

ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിലേക്ക്, എന്റെ പരമാനന്ദമായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്ക് ചെല്ലും; ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, കിന്നരം കൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കും.സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ. 43: 4 

''പരമ സീയോനിലേക്കുള്ള മരുഭൂ യാത്രയിൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ അനുഭവ വിശേഷങ്ങളാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നെ നമ്മെ അത്യാനന്ദ വിവശരാക്കുന്ന ആ സ്നേഹ ശക്തിയെ പലരും മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നില്ല .പ്രാണപ്രിയനോടുള്ള ദാഹത്താൽ ഉളളം ജ്വലിക്കയും യേശുവിന്റെ പ്രീതി വാത്സല്യം ജീവനേക്കാൾ നല്ലതാണെന്ന് ആസ്വദിച്ചറിയുന്ന ഒരു കൂട്ടം സാധുക്കൾ ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ ഉണ്ട് .എന്റെ പരമാനന്ദമായ ദൈവം എന്നു പറയുന്ന ശബ്ദം അവരുടേതാകുന്നു ."

അനേകം ക്രിസ്ത്രീയ ഗാനങ്ങൾ രചിച്ച 'സാധു കൊച്ചു കുഞ്ഞ് ഉപദേശിയുടെ ' വാക്കുകളാണ് മുകളിൽ ഉദ്ധരിച്ചത്. " മഹത്വത്തിൽ ആർദ്രവാനായി ജീവിക്കുന്നത് തന്റെ സ്വർഗ്ഗീയ പിതാവാണ് എന്ന ഉറപ്പ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ജീവിതത്തിലെ കഠിനമായ ശോധനകളുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിലും കർത്താവിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കുവാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനറിയാമായിരുന്നു..... പരമാനന്ദ ക്രിസ്തീയ ജീവിതം അദ്ദേഹം വിവരിക്കുന്നതി പ്രകാരമാണ് .......

1) ഏകാന്തമായ ധ്യാനത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ച് ദൈവത്തോടുള്ള കൂട്ടായ്മയും ധ്യാനവും എത്ര ആനന്ദകരമാകുന്നു.
2) ശ്രദ്ധാപൂർവ്വം തിരുവചനത്തിൽ ഓരോ ഭാഗങ്ങൾ വായിക്കുന്നത് ഭക്തന് എത്ര ഇമ്പ കരമാണ് .
3) ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജീവനുള്ള വചനങ്ങളാൽ ആരോടെങ്കിലും ഇടപെട്ടു കൊണ്ടിരിപ്പാൻ ഭക്തനു ലഭിക്കുന്ന അവസരം എത്ര മാധുര്യമേറിയത്!
4) പ്രേമകരങ്ങളായ ധ്യാനമൊഴികളാൽ രചിതങ്ങളായ സംഗീതങ്ങൾ പാടുന്നതിൽ എത്ര ആനന്ദം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു.
5) ദൈവം നമുക്കായി നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്ന വാഗ്ദത്തങ്ങളെ ധ്യാനിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒരു ഉല്ലാസം നമ്മിൽ ഉണ്ടാകുകയും സ്നേഹ രസത്തിൽ സമൃദ്ധി പ്രാപിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
6) നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവിന്റെ രണ്ടാം വരവിന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയും ധ്യാനങ്ങളും ഭക്തനിൽ ആനന്ദം ഉളവാക്കുന്നു
7 ) സകലത്തിനും മീതെ മനസ്സലിവുകളുടെ പിതാവായ മഹാദൈവം നമുക്ക് ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള മഹാകാരുണ്യങ്ങളെ ധ്യാനിക്കുന്നത് എത്ര ആനന്ദമാകുന്നു.

കർത്താവിന് സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നതും അത്യുന്നതനായുള്ളോവേ, നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ കീർത്തിക്കുന്നതും പത്തു കമ്പിയുള്ള വാദിത്രംകൊണ്ടും വീണകൊണ്ടും ഗംഭീരസ്വരമുള്ള കിന്നരംകൊണ്ടും രാവിലെ നിന്റെ ദയയെയും രാത്രിതോറും നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെയും വർണിക്കുന്നതും നല്ലത്. സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 92 :1‭-‬3 

തോമസ് ഒബദ്യാ ചിസോം ഒരു സാധാരണ കുടുംബത്തിൽ ജനിച്ചു വളർത്തപ്പെട്ടു. ഒരു അധ്യാപകനായും പത്രത്തിന്റെ എഡിറ്ററായും ജോലി ചെയ്ത അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് നിത്യ ചെലവിനുള്ള ശമ്പളം മാത്രമേ ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നുള്ളു. ദൈവകൃപയാൽ 27-മത്തെ വയസ്സിൽ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ച് രക്ഷപ്രാപിപ്പാൻ ഇടയായി.
ശാരീരിക അസ്വസ്ഥതകൾ ജീവിതത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അലട്ടിയിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ട അനേകം ഗാനങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹം എഴുതി .അതിൽ ഏറ്റവും പ്രശസ്തമായ ഒരനുഗൃഹീത ഗാനമാണ് 57 വയസ്സുള്ളപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ചത്..

ദൈവം ജീവിതത്തിൽ ചെയ്ത ചെറുതും വലുതുമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഒന്നും മറക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെ ഓർത്ത് സ്തുതിക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹം ജീവിതാന്ത്യം വരെ ശ്രമിച്ചിരുന്നു.
വളരെ നല്ല ഒരു മാതൃക.!

ഗാനത്തിന്റെ ആരംഭത്തിൽ കർത്താവിന്റെ മാറ്റമില്ലാത്ത വിശ്വസ്തയെ വർണ്ണിക്കുന്നു.
അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ പിതാവാണ് .അങ്ങേക്ക് ഒരിക്കലും മാറ്റമില്ല .അനന്യനായ അങ്ങയുടെ വിശ്വസ്തത എത്ര വലിയത് .വെളിച്ചങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവേ ഓരോ പ്രഭാതത്തിലും അങ്ങയുടെ
സ്നേഹം പുതിയതാണ്. അത് ഒരിക്കലും അസ്തമിക്കുന്നില്ല.
തുടർന്ന് ദൈവം സൃഷ്ടിച്ച പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിലൂടെ ലഭിച്ച നൻമകളോർത്ത് നന്ദി പറയുന്നു .എല്ലാം അങ്ങയുടെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെ വർണ്ണിക്കുന്നു .

എന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം ക്ഷമിച്ച കർത്താവിന് സ്തോത്രം. അങ്ങയുടെ സാമീപ്യം എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ കൂടെയുണ്ട്. ഇന്നേ ദിവസം വേണ്ട ശക്തിയും നാളെയെ അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കാൻ തന്ന സ്വർഗ്ഗീയ പ്രത്യാശക്കായും ഒരായിരം നന്ദി അബ്ബാ പിതാവേ!!
അതേ കർത്താവേ അങ്ങയുടെ വിശ്വസ്ത വലിയതു തന്നേ !!!

നാം നശിച്ചുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്നത് കർത്താവിന്റെ ദയ ആകുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ കരുണ തീർന്ന് പോയിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ;  അത് രാവിലെതോറും പുതിയതും അവിടുത്തെ വിശ്വസ്തത വലിയതും ആകുന്നു.

വിലാപങ്ങൾ 3 :22‭-‬23

എല്ലാ നല്ല ദാനവും പൂർണ്ണവരം ഒക്കെയും ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്ന്, വെളിച്ചങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിങ്കൽനിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങിവരുന്നു. അവന് ചാഞ്ചല്യമോ, നിഴൽ മാറുന്നതു പോലുള്ള മാറ്റമോ ഇല്ല. യാക്കോബ് 1 :17
