Loneliness.. The greatest problem of today.. 

#2000 years back a lonely lady came to take water from the well at noon. 

But when she came up she saw a tired  man! 

She shunned the face and company of men and went out to be alone but got in to the company of God. 

Need and love came face to face.. Need of human being and Love of God. 

Samaritan woman the lonely one in  the town  is alone with God... 

She got the answer to all her questions. 

Loneliness went away. Emptiness gone. Her heart is full.. She met Jesus, the fountain of living water. 

The words of Jesus healed her. 

"but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”John 4:14

Are you lonely? Feeling dry and empty heart? 

Run to Him. He is waiting for you.....

*Banner in ancient times was an ensign carried at the head of a military group. In battle times they would look at the banner during times of chaos and confusion. As long as the banner was held high they would fight with courage and confidence. . 🚩

Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.” As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.

So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.. 

 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.” Moses built an altar and called it" The Lord is my Banner."Exodus 17:9‭, ‬11‭,13, ‬14‭-‬15 🚩(Jehovah-Nissi) 

For us our Lord Jesus is our Banner. 

You are not alone in this battlefeild. Look to the Lord your banner. It is His battle.. 

Victory is assured under the bright banner of His Name.. "The Name above all names..".

*Russell Kelso Carter wrote this hymn while teaching at the Pennsylvania Military Academy.

While at this Academy he worked as professor of chemistry, natural science, civil engineering, and mathematics.

He was known to be a man of many talents and published books on diverse topics.

Besides being an intelligent man, he was also an exceptionally good athlete in his youth.

Standing on the Promises is probably based on Russell Kelso Carter personal experience.

It is said that when he was around 30 years old, he faced a serious health crisis that helped him to put his trust on God.

In other words, he learned to stand on the promises of God.

During this time, he had a grave issue with his heart and the doctors told him that they could not help him.

There was simply no medical solution for his problem. He just had to wait for his death.

But he decided to claim the promises of God on healing.

As he began to claim these promises his faith increased and over time his heart was healed and lived another 49 years without this heart problem.

We too can learn to stand on the promises of God and in faith claim his promises.

It was a day when darkness engulfed the land at noon time. Many wept as they beheld the scenes.

There is a man fighting the last fight against death. A man who has no hope in this world. Eternal hell right before his eyes…

He saw a glimmer of hope in the Man who was crucified next to him. 

He ran to that strong tower where he found refuge.

 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Luke 23:42

The response was instantaneous… Truly I say unto you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.

No. Not yet late… If the life-breath still remains, run to Jesus and take refuge.

The door of the paradise was opened before a man whose all hopes had receded from his view.

The sound of the lamb felt for him as a beautiful music he had ever heard. What that lamb meant was his life. Life for his own precious son - the child of promise.

 
The old man must have looked at that lamb through the haze of tears and then cast his eyes  toward heaven. In joy and gratitude called Lord.. Jehovah- jireh.. The Lord will provide..

His Name is ELROI... 

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” That is why the well was called Beer Lahai Roi; it is still there, between Kadesh and Bered.Genesis 16:13‭-‬14 *

After many years... 

I came to draw water from the well. I came at noon time to make sure that no one sees me. 

I was lonely, rejected, five broken marriages... hated by all.. No hope... 

Where is God? 

Does He see? 

Does He really know what is going on? 

But I saw someone waiting for me near the well. I am a broken hearted woman from the village of samaria. 

Yes.. He sees me... 

It is His very Name..ELROI. The God who sees... 

The omnipresent God is here, and His eyes are not shut..

Are you rejected? lonely,? depressed? 

Lost hope in life? 

Jesus knows your Name. 

He sees your situation. 

He knows your heartaches. 

Where is God now? 

The omnipresent God is with you. He is there, and His eyes are not shut...

Then the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river. And her maidens walked along the riverside; and when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her maid to get it.Exodus 2:3‭, ‬5 NKJV

Those of his household prepared an ark to save Moses. We know how Moses was lying down in the basket near the river and how the daughter of Pharoah fostered him as her own son.

An ark (basket) was used to redeem a baby who was three months old.

But let us listen carefully what Noah is being told before the flood in the book of Genesis.

So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.Genesis 6:14 NIV

That large boat was prepared considering all.

After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits. to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water,1 Peter 3:19,20

In the Hebrew language the basket that was used to save Moses and the large boat which was used to save all the people during the time of Noah were called by the same word Ark. 

One may be a child or there may be the whole world, for God they are all precious. Salvation is the gift of God and of the Lamb. Hallelujah!!

എന്നാൽ ഉല്പത്തി പുസ്തകത്തിൽ ജലപ്രളയത്തിന് മുമ്പ് നോഹയോട് കല്പിക്കുന്ന വചനം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക.

നീ ഗോഫർമരംകൊണ്ട് ഒരു പെട്ടകം ഉണ്ടാക്കുക; പെട്ടകത്തിന് അറകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കി, അകത്തും പുറത്തും കീൽ തേക്കേണം.ഉൽപത്തി 6:14 

ആ പെട്ടകം എല്ലാവരെയും ഉദ്ദേശിച്ച് നിർമ്മിച്ചതാണ് .

ഒരു കുഞ്ഞായിരിക്കാം, ഒരു ലോക സമൂഹം മുഴുവനായിരിക്കാം 'ദൈവത്തിന് എല്ലാവരും ഒരു പോലെ വിലയേറിയവരാണ്. രക്ഷ ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെയും  കുഞ്ഞാടിൻ്റേയും ദാനം .ഹാലേലുയ്യാ!!

**Well, Jesus Christ came,  it’s obvious.

In Malachi, there’s a prophecy of His forerunner, John the Baptist.

 
In Micah, there’s the identification of His birthplace, Bethlehem.

 
In Isaiah, the very words of Messiah that He comes to the poor, prisoners, blind, and oppressed. From Isaiah 61 is exactly the speech He gave in Luke 4 in Nazareth.

Psalm 118 predicts the triumphal entry, when He went into Jerusalem.

Isaiah 56 and Jeremiah 7 prophesy that He would cleanse the Temple.

 
Psalm 118 says He would be the rejected cornerstone.

Isaiah 53 says He would be numbered with the transgressors in His death and buried with a rich man in His grave.

 
Psalm 22 says the Messiah will give up His garments to those who gamble for them, casting lots.

 
In Psalm 16 it says He’ll rise from the dead.

 
In Deuteronomy 18 it says He’ll be a prophet like Moses.

Isaiah 53, He’ll be a sheep led to slaughter.

Psalm 2, He’ll be resurrected, begotten from the dead.

 
Isaiah 49, He’ll be a light for the Gentiles. He fulfilled every prophecy of Messiah, and thus fulfilled every salvation promise.

The weapon enemy usually uses against us is

 " never"

'you will never overcome this sin. '

'you will never become spiritual'

'you will never get a job'

'your marriage will never happen'

'you will never pass the exam'

'you will never be healed from this disease'

'your children never be saved'

'you will never get an answer for this prayer'. ... 

.... 

May be today also the enemy whispered in your hearts the above.... 

But these are lies.. Don't believe the voice of the serpent.. 

Take the Sword of the Spirit..." It is Written "

God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”Hebrews 13:5

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. John 6:37

How many times we used the word good bye in our life?
What is actually the meaning? Simply this Good bye is short for "God be with you"

(The first known use of the word “goodbye” was recorded in 1573 in a letter by English writer and scholar, Gabriel Harvey,  “Godbwye” is a contraction of the phrase “God be with ye.”)

And that is introduced in the 1st chapter of gospel of Mathew "Immanuel" God with us..
May be you are using the word today good bye in school, office, home, airport, railway station Or where ever it is.... you are saying  "Immanuel" "Jesus be with you today"

He came from heaven and dwelt among us. Jesus Christ is God's " good -bye" gift to you that you might greet each new day with the words... "God be with you".... "Immanuel....."

A father and his son set out to chop bunch of Bananas to sell them in the market. The father took the heavier sack on his shoulder and walked.

Prior to that he kept different bunches of Bananas on his son’s shoulder to check which one he could carry.

The father knows exactly what his son could carry. He would not let his son carry on his shoulder even a bit more than that.

Even before we were born, our heavenly Father who knows exactly our frame knows how much we can carry.

That Father is with us. He is faithful. Amen.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

*Once a six year old girl went to a shop with her mother.The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed her a glass bowl with sweets and said “Dear Child. You can take the sweets”. But the child didn’t take any. The shopkeeper was surprised.

He said again, “Take the sweets”. Now, the mother also heard that and said “Take the sweets dear”. Yet she didn’t take it. 

The shopkeeper, seeing the reluctance of the child, took the sweets with his two hands and gave it to the child. The child was extremely happy!

While returning home the Mother asked the child, “Why didn’t you take the sweets, when the shop keeper asked you to take?”

The child replied, “Mom! My hands are very small and if I take the sweets I can only take few..But now you see when uncle gave with his big hands….How many more sweets I got!”

കൃഷി സ്ഥലത്ത് നിന്ന് വാഴക്കുലകൾ വെട്ടി ചന്തയിൽ വിൽക്കുവാൻ ഒരു അപ്പനും മകനും പുറപ്പെട്ടു. പിതാവ് വലിയ ഭാരമുള്ള ചാക്ക് ചുമലിൽ വെച്ചു നടന്നു.

എന്നാൽ അതിന് മുൻപ് തൻ്റെ മകൻ്റെ തോളിൽ അനേകം വാഴക്കുലകൾ മാറി മാറി വെച്ചു നോക്കി .തൻ്റെ മകന് വഹിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുന്ന ഒന്ന് അവൻ്റെ ചുമലിൽ വെച്ചു.

പിതാവിന് വ്യക്തമായി അറിയാം തൻ്റെ മകന് എത്രത്തോളം ഭാരം വഹിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുമെന്ന് .അതിൽ കൂടുതൽ ഒരു ഗ്രാം ഭാരം പിതാവ് അവൻ്റെ ചുമലിൽ വെയ്ക്കു കയില്ല.

നാം ജനിക്കും മുമ്പെ നമ്മെ അറിയുന്ന നമ്മുടെ സൃഷ്ടാവായ സ്വർഗ്ഗീയ പിതാവിന് വ്യക്തമായി അറിയാം നമുക്ക് എത്രത്തോളം ഭാരം വഹിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമെന്ന് .

ആ പിതാവ് നമ്മോട് കൂടെയുണ്ട്. അവിടുന്ന് വിശ്വസ്തനാണ് .ആമേൻ

സാധാരണ ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉണ്ടാകാത്ത ഒരു പരീക്ഷണവും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നേരിട്ടിട്ടില്ല. ഉറച്ചുനില്‌ക്കുവാനുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ശക്തിക്കതീതമായ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകുവാൻ ദൈവം അനുവദിക്കുകയില്ല; പരീക്ഷണത്തിനു നിങ്ങളെ വിധേയരാക്കുമ്പോൾ അതു സഹിക്കുവാനുള്ള ശക്തിയും നീക്കുപോക്കും അവിടുന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു നല്‌കുന്നു. ദൈവം വിശ്വസ്തനാണല്ലോ.

The miracle of brother's song

**Like any good mother, when Karen found out that another baby was on the way, she did what she could to help her 3-year-old son, Michael, prepare for a new sibling. They found out that the new baby was going be a girl, and day after day, night after night, Michael sang to his sister in Mommy’s tummy. He was building a bond of love with his little sister before he even met her.

The pregnancy progressed normally for Karen, an active member of the Creek United Methodist Church in Morristown, Tennessee.  But serious complications arose during delivery and Karen found herself in hours of labor. 

Finally, after a long struggle, Michael’s little sister was born. Her name was Marlee..But she was in very serious condition. With a siren howling in the night, the ambulance rushed the infant to the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Mary’s Hospital, Knoxville, Tennessee.

The days inched by. The little girl marlee got worse. The pediatrician had to tell the parents there is very little hope. Be prepared for the worst. Karen and her husband contacted a local cemetery about a burial plot. They had fixed up a special room in their house for their new baby they found themselves having to plan for a funeral. Michael, however, kept begging his parents to let him see his sister.

“I want to sing to her,” he kept saying. Week two in intensive care looked as if a funeral would come before the week was over. Michael kept nagging about singing to his sister, but kids are never allowed in Intensive Care. Karen decided to take Michael whether they liked it or not. If he didn’t see his sister right then, he may never see her alive. She dressed him in an oversized scrub suit and marched him into ICU. He looked like a walking laundry basket. The head nurse recognized him as a child and bellowed, ” Get that kid out of here now. No children are allowed.”

The mother rose up strong in Karen, and the usually mild-mannered lady glared steel-eyed right into the head nurse’s face, her lips a firm line. He is not leaving until he sings to his sister” she stated.

Then Karen towed Michael to his sister’s bedside. He gazed at the tiny infant losing the battle to live. After a moment, he began tossing. In the pure-hearted voice of a 3-year-old, Michael sang: “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray.” Instantly the baby girl seemed to respond. The pulse rate began to calm down and become steady.

“Keep on singing, Michael,” encouraged Karen with tears in her eyes. “You never know, dear, how much I love you, please don’t take my sunshine away. “As Michael sang to his sister, the baby’s ragged, strained breathing became as smooth as a kitten’s purr. “Keep on singing, sweetheart.”

“The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held you in my arms”. Her brother’s song seemed to cause his little sister to relax as rest, healing rest, seemed to sweep over her. “Keep singing, Michael.” Tears had now conquered the face of the bossy head nurse. Karen glowed. “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. Please don’t take my sunshine away…”

The next, day… the very next day… the little girl was well enough to go home. Woman’s Day Magazine called it The Miracle of a Brother’s Song. The medical staff just called it a miracle. Karen called it a miracle of God’s love.

NEVER GIVE UP ON THE PEOPLE...

. LOVE IS SO INCREDIBLY POWERFUL.. ...

*There's a true story told about two servants of God who were visiting an orphanage in Russia. There were about a hundred boys and girls in the orphanage who had been abandoned, abused, and left in the care of a government run program. One of the missionaries tells the story of the orphans very first Christmas. The missionary writes, "We told them about Mary and Joseph arriving in Bethlehem, finding no room at the Inn and how the couple had to go to a stable where the baby Jesus was born and placed in a manger." He went to on to say that throughout the story the children and staff sat in amazement as they listened, on edge of their seats trying to grasp every word. When they completed the story they gave each child three small pieces of cardboard to make a manger.

Each child was given a small paper square cut from a yellow napkin that one of the God's servants had brought with him because there was no colored paper available in the city. Following instructions, the children tore the napkin paper into strips to make hay for the manger. Small squares of flannel, cut from a worn out nightgown were used for the baby's blanket and a "doll like baby" was cut from pieces of tan felt, again that the missionaries had brought with them. As the orphans were busy assembling their mangers, one of the missionaries was walking among them to see if they needed help. As he looked at one little boy's manger he saw not one, but two babies. He quickly called for a translator to ask the boy why there were two babes in his manger.

Crossing his arms in front of him and looking at his completed manger scene the child began to repeat the story very seriously. He related the story quite accurately until he came to the part where Mary put the baby Jesus in the manger. He made up his own ending to the story as he said, "And when Mary laid the baby in the manger, Jesus looked at me and asked if I had a place to stay? I told him I have no Momma and no Poppa so I don't have any place to stay. Then Jesus told me I could stay with him. But I told him I couldn't, cause I didn't have a gift to give to him like everyone else. But I wanted to stay with Jesus so bad that I thought about something that I could maybe use as a gift. I thought maybe if I kept him warm, that would be a good gift. So I asked Jesus, 'If I keep you warm, will that be a good enough gift?' And Jesus told me, 'If you keep me warm that will be the best gift anybody ever gave me.' So I got into the manger, and Jesus looked up at me and told me I could stay with him, for always." This little orphan had found someone who would never abandon him; never abuse him, someone who would stay with him for always. 

Truth is, there are many times in life when we all need to be children again, times when we need nothing more than to just be held and loved.

Here be " Storms"

Here be " Dragon Fishes"

Here be " Great Dangers"

But John Franklin the mariner believed in God. 

In all places of warning of dangers..

Can we also write in our life chart of long travel through the Sea of life.. 

'Here be God. '

His Name is Immanuel " God with us"

When the people of Israel meditated on the Psalms, they have a particular pattern. For example, if a person tells only “The Lord is my shepherd” to another person, it means that the following verses are also included in it.(psalms 23) 

The one who listens would also meditate in his heart, all the verses that follows.

The Lord Jesus while hanging on the cross spoke “ My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”. Psalm 22:1

Many Jews heard these words clearly and the following words would have become visible in their minds. (Psalms 22) 

“Bulls” encompass me

“Strong bulls of Bashan” surround me

They open wide their mouths at me ”like a ravening and roaring lion”

“Dogs” encompass me

“Horns of wild oxen”

For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet I can count all my bones they stare and gloat over me; they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots. Psalm 22:16-18

Even though they heard the cry of Jesus Christ, these words did not cause a repentance in their hearts. There are many verses in the book of Revelation which speak loud.

They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him. And cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done. Revelation 16:9,11

Let us look to the cross and meditate on the words of God’s love.    

 Let us repent and turn to God.

യിസ്രയേൽ ജനത്തിന് സങ്കീർത്തനം ധ്യാനിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക രീതിയുണ്ട്' ഉദാഹരണമായി ഒരാൾ "കത്താവ് എൻ്റെ ഇടയനാകുന്നു " എന്ന് മാത്രം മറ്റൊരാളോട് പറഞ്ഞാൽ അതിൻ്റെ അർത്ഥം തുടർന്നുള്ള വാക്യങ്ങളും അതിൽ അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു .

കേൾക്കുന്നയാൾ തുടർന്നുള്ള മുഴുവൻ വചനങ്ങളും ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ധ്യാനിക്കും.

കർത്താവായ യേശു ക്രൂശിൽ കിടന്നു കൊണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞു "എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, നീ എന്നെ കൈവിട്ടതെന്ത്?" സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 22:1 

  അനേകം യഹൂദൻമാർ അത് വ്യക്തമായി കേട്ടു .തുടർന്നുള്ള മുഴുവൻ വചനങ്ങളും അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ തെളിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടാവണം.

" കാളകൾ " എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു

" ബാശാൻ കൂറ്റൻ മാർ" എന്നെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു .

"ബു ഭു ക്ഷയോടെ അലറുന്ന സിംഹം " പോലെ അവർ എൻ്റെ നേരെ വായ് പിളർക്കുന്നു '

" നായ്ക്കൾ " എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു .

"കാട്ടു പോത്തുകളുടെ കൊമ്പുകൾ "

അവർ എന്റെ കൈകളെയും കാലുകളെയും തുളച്ചു. എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളൊക്കെയും എനിക്ക് എണ്ണാം; അവർ എന്നെ ഉറ്റുനോക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അവർ പകുത്തെടുത്തു, എന്റെ അങ്കിക്കായി അവർ ചീട്ടിടുന്നു.സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 22:16‭-‬18 

യേശു കർത്താവിൻ്റെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ മനസ്സിൽ വന്നിട്ടും അവർക്ക് ഒരു മാനസാന്തരമുണ്ടായില്ല.

വെളിപ്പാട് പുസ്തകത്തിലും അനേക വചനങ്ങൾ വിളിച്ചു പറയുന്നു

മനുഷ്യർ അത്യുഷ്ണത്താൽ വെന്തുപോയി; ഈ ബാധകളുടെമേൽ അധികാരമുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമത്തെ ദുഷിച്ചതല്ലാതെ അവനു മഹത്ത്വം കൊടുപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടില്ല. 

അവർ കഷ്ടതനിമിത്തം നാവു കടിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു കഷ്ടങ്ങളും വ്രണങ്ങളും ഹേതുവാൽ സ്വർഗത്തിലെ ദൈവത്തെ ദുഷിച്ചതല്ലാതെ തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ വിട്ടു മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടില്ല.

കർത്താവിൻ്റെ ക്രൂശിലേക്ക് നോക്കി ദൈവസ്നേഹത്തിൻ്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ ധ്യാനിക്കാം.

മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ട് ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്ക് മടങ്ങി വരാം. 

കർത്താവ് വേഗം വരുന്നു

കർത്താവ് എൻ്റെ ഇടയനാകുന്നു....

 

തിരുനാമംനിമിത്തം എന്നെ നീതിപാതകളിൽ നടത്തുന്നു.സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 23:3
യിസ്രയേലിൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗം ഭൂപ്രദേശവും മണലും കല്ലും നിറഞ്ഞതാകയാൽ നടപ്പ് വളരെ പ്രയാസമാണ്. എന്നാൽ ഒരാൾക്ക് മാത്രം നടക്കാവുന്ന ഒറ്റയടി പാതകളുണ്ട്. നാളുകളായി ജനങ്ങൾ നടന്നുണ്ടായ വഴികളാണിത്. ഇടയൻ ഈ വഴിയിലൂടെ മുൻപിൽ നടക്കും .ആടുകൾ ഇടയൻ്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ട് പിൻഗമിക്കും.ഈ വഴിയിൽ അല്ലാതെ വേറെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചാൽ തളർന്നു വീഴും, ലക്ഷ്യത്തിൽ എത്തുവാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.

നിന്റെ വടിയും കോലും എന്നെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 23:4

യിസ്രായേൽജനം 400 വർഷങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽ അടിമകളായിരുന്നു. ഫറവോൻ തൻ്റെ കയ്യിലുള്ള വടിയും കോലും കൊണ്ട് അവരെ നിരന്തരമായി പീഡിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.എന്നാൽ ദൈവം അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു വാഗ്ദത്ത ദേശത്ത് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.നല്ല ഇടയൻ്റെ വടിയും കോലും ദൈവജനത്തിന് ആശ്വാസമായിത്തീർന്നു.

 എന്റെ പാനപാത്രവും നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നു.സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 23:5

വളരെ ദൂരം യാത്ര ചെയ്ത് തളർന്നു വരുന്നവരെ യിസ്രായേൽ ജനം വളരെ ദയയോടെ ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.
ഒരു പാനപാത്രത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ദാഹമകറ്റുന്ന ഒരു പാനീയം അതിഥിയുടെ പാത്രത്തിലേക്ക് പകർന്നു കൊടുക്കും. അത് കുടിച്ചു കഴിയുമ്പോൾ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ഒഴിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും." മതി" എന്ന് പറയുന്നതു വരെയും പാനപാത്രത്തിലേക്ക് ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ പാനീയം പകർന്നു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മുൻപിൽ പോലും അവർ വഴിയാത്രക്കാരന് മേശ ഒരുക്കിക്കൊടുക്കും.

Donald Grey Barnhouse, famous preacher of the past century wrote of driving his children to his wife, and their mother’s funeral; 

“I was driving with my children to my wife’s funeral where I was to preach the sermon. As we came into one small town there rode down in front of us a truck that came to stop before a red light.

 It was the biggest truck I ever saw in my life, and the sun was shining on it at just the right angle that took its shadow and spread it across the snow on the field beside it. 

As the shadow covered that field, I said, "Look children at that truck, and look at its shadow. If you had to be run over, which would you rather be run over by? Would you rather be run over by the truck or by the shadow?" My youngest child said, "The shadow couldn’t hurt anybody." "That’s right," I continued, "and death is a truck, but the shadow is all that ever touches the Christian. The truck ran over the Lord Jesus. Only the shadow is gone over mother."

ഊരുകളിലോ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലോ കുടികളിലോ അവൻ ചെന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും അവർ ചന്തകളിൽ രോഗികളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു വച്ചു, അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ തൊങ്ങൽ എങ്കിലും തൊടേണ്ടതിന് അപേക്ഷിക്കയും അവനെ തൊട്ടവർക്ക് ഒക്കെയും സൗഖ്യം വരികയും ചെയ്തു.മർക്കൊസ് 6:56
