Naphtali is a doe set free that bears beautiful fawns -Genesis 49 :21

Naphtali was born to Jacob from Bilhah, the servant lady of Rachael. He was very blessed, and humble and he spoke gracious words. In addition, he was a warrior. He had a major role in the building the Temple of God.
About Naphtali he said: "Naphtali is abounding with the favour of the LORD and is full of his blessing; he will inherit southward to the lake."-Deuteronomy 33: 23

The people of Zebulun risked their very lives; so, did Naphtali on the terraced fields. -Judges 5: 18

However, in many places where Israel mentions him, he does not seem to get the deserved recognition. He was considered as the last tribe of Israel.
When the land was apportioned among the tribes, he received a portion of the land which was not much favoured by any. Nevertheless, to the God who sees and knows all things he was a doe which was set free. Don’t you want to know the portion of the land which he received as inheritance? It was the land of Galilee! Nazareth and Capernaum are included in this land.

Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali— to fulfil what was said through the prophet Isaiah:
“Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali,
the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan Galilee of the Gentiles—the people living in darkness have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.” Matthew4 :13-16

At the fulfilment of time, this was the place on the earth, chosen by the Son of God to live. Will any good come from Nazareth? Such a saying as “No prophet arises from Galilee”, became of meaningless.

Many say that I do not get any recognition for what I do for the Lord and in many cases the reward I received was just contempt.

However, let us be faithful before God. Let us fulfil the will of the Lord, be vigilant in prayer and always progressing in the service towards the Lord. It is the Lord who gives us the reward. In all things the Lord is our inheritance and portion.

But, how much more blessed are we, than the tribe of Naphtali? Christ, the hope of glory dwells in us!
As God has said:
“I will live with them and walk among them,
and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” – 2 Corinthians 6 :16b

"Here I come to your glorious presence
To fulfil Your holy will
Finishing the work You gave me
And to stand in Your Holy presence."
